Salesforce Developer
We are seeking an experienced part-time Salesforce Developer with a strong background in Apex development to manage, modernize, and optimize Salesforce automation and custom code. This role will focus on transitioning point-and-click automation to Apex where code provides greater scalability, reliability, or maintainability.
The ideal candidate can assess existing Salesforce implementations, resolve technical issues, and build scalable solutions that support the organization’s continued growth and transition needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Salesforce automation and custom code.
Evaluate existing point-and-click automation and migrate it to Apex when better suited for code-based implementation.
Develop, test, and maintain scalable Apex solutions.
Review existing implementations and reoptimize code to resolve bugs and improve performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues across Salesforce workflows, automation, and integrations.
Support ongoing growth, platform transitions, and evolving business requirements.
Apply Salesforce development best practices to improve code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.
Document technical designs, changes, and deployment considerations.
Required Skills:
5+ Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce development.
Advanced proficiency in Apex development.
Experience managing and modernizing Salesforce automation.
Demonstrated ability to migrate declarative or point-and-click automation to Apex.
Experience debugging, optimizing, and refactoring existing Salesforce code.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, governor limits, and development best practices.
Experience designing scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Ability to assess when declarative tools or custom code are the most appropriate solution.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity and contribute effectively within a collaborative environment.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
Knowledge of Lightning Web Components and SOQL.
Experience supporting Salesforce platform migrations or modernization initiatives.
Familiarity with Salesforce testing, deployment, and source-control practices.
