Crypto jobs beyond engineering
Every "get a job in crypto" guide is written for developers. Here's the version for everyone else — marketing, security, operations, support, legal and finance all hire, constantly, and most of it doesn't need a computer-science degree.
Crypto needs more than developers
A crypto company that's raised money and shipped a product has the same org chart as any other tech company — engineering is one function among many. The roles below are consistently open across active crypto employers, they're just harder to find because most "crypto careers" content assumes you're applying to write Solidity.
Marketing & growth
Crypto marketing is a specialized skill — community-driven growth, content that holds up to a technical audience, and partnerships/BD that often blur into marketing. Security

Every exchange, wallet, or custody product needs people directly supporting users — often the fastest-moving, highest-volume hiring category at consumer-facing crypto companies. This overlaps with community management, which barely existed as a job title a decade ago and is now a real, well-defined career path in this industry specifically. Legal, compliance & finance
Regulation is one of the defining forces in crypto right now, which means legal and compliance hiring has scaled up sharply — see legal & compliance roles. On the finance side, treasury, accounting and financial operations at a company holding volatile digital assets is a genuinely different job than traditional corporate finance, and companies specifically look for people willing to learn that difference — see finance & accounting roles.
