Senior Product Manager, Omni
Your Mission
As part of the Engine team, you'll drive the evolution of Omni, Engine's hotel booking infrastructure that external companies embed into their own platforms. Omni ships through two paths: Swift, a low-code hosted storefront, and Halo, a full API for teams that want to own the whole booking journey. You'll work alongside Omni's product lead across the entire surface — the API contract, the partner onboarding experience, the content catalog, and the tools partners and internal teams rely on every day. This is a technical, detail-heavy role: Omni already carries real partners in production, and the work is making a complex platform feel simple and trustworthy to the engineering teams who build on it. Here's what you'll take charge of:
Drive execution across the Omni roadmap: Dive deep into travel infrastructure to understand the market, partner pain points, and the competitive landscape. Own features from requirements from ideation through GA across Swift and Halo. Educate both partners and the broader Engine team understand what you're building and why it matters.
Build the developer experience partners bet on: Shape the API surface, docs, SDKs, and integration flows for Halo so partner engineering teams can go from evaluation to production without friction. What ships and how fast partners get to their first booking is the goal. Elegance for its own sake is not.
Make Swift the fastest path from signature to live storefront: Own the partner onboarding journey — sandbox experience, credential and certificate lifecycle, and the diagnostics that turn a stuck integration into a shipped one. Every papercut you remove shortens the path from signed deal to live bookings.
Collaborate with commercial and partnerships teams: Work closely on integration approaches, weigh in on prioritization tradeoffs, and hold your ground when it matters.
What You’ll Bring to Engine
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:
Experience: Minimum 6 years in product management, with a track record of shipping API, platform, or infrastructure products where the customer is another engineering team. Travel, booking, or multimodal supply background is a strong plus.
Judgment: You have conviction and aren't a pushover. You can tell an engineer or a partner "no" and explain why, and you're comfortable with tension in service of the right outcome. You help make hard prioritization calls and stand behind them.
Technical depth: This is a technical product role. You're comfortable in the details of APIs, integration patterns, and system tradeoffs, with enough depth to hold your own with engineers on architecture decisions, and enough discipline to not get seduced by complexity. You push toward the simplest thing that works.
Developer product instincts: You know what makes a great developer experience — clean primitives, honest docs, predictable behavior — and you have strong opinions on how a platform evolves without breaking what partners already built on it.
Presence and agency: You show up as a peer to strong technical and commercial partners. You don't hide behind "the team thinks." You take accountability for your part of decisions and outcomes.
Comfort with ambiguity and high stakes: You move fast without perfect information and hold conviction when the path is unclear. Omni is already carrying real partners — you're maturing it without breaking what got them here.
Applications for this role will be accepted through 11/13/2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
