Fintech Strategy & Operations Associate (m/f/d)
You'll turn big-picture fintech strategy and business cases into concrete, end-to-end execution plans that bring Finance, Pricing, R&D, Operations, Compliance, Legal and GTM together. Fintech initiatives at Mews move fast and touch many teams, and this role exists to pressure-test assumptions, connect the numbers to operational reality, and keep momentum instead of stalling in ambiguity. It's a chance to shape how a growing fintech business sequences its next moves, with real visibility into how strategy becomes execution.
You'll coordinate cross-functional fintech initiatives, migrations, product or feature rollouts, process or pricing changes , and build the roadmaps, executive materials and trade-off breakdowns that senior stakeholders use to work out what happens next.
As Mews' fintech and payments footprint grows, more initiatives draw on the same resources across Finance, Pricing, R&D, Operations, Compliance, Legal and GTM. This role exists to keep those initiatives realistic, sequenced and moving.
What you would do
Turn fintech and payments strategy into clear execution plans and roadmaps, including scope, milestones, owners and success metrics
Coordinate cross-functional fintech initiatives such as migrations, product or feature rollouts, and process or pricing changes
Bridge Finance, Pricing and operations by questioning models and turning insights into prioritised, realistic plans
Create concise, executive-ready materials that explain options, trade-offs and resourcing needs
Spot process gaps and risks across fintech workflows and drive pragmatic improvements
Track actions and next steps to ensure follow-through in a fast-changing environment
AI Fluency Level 3: in this role that means going beyond using AI for your own productivity. You would redesign how first-line operations actually run (how the TPSP register is kept current, how vendor performance is assessed, how support and complaints are triaged), build those AI-assisted approaches into something the rest of Mews FS can follow, and rigorously check what the AI produces before it informs a register, a Board pack or a regulatory submission, where the accuracy bar is absolute.

What you would bring
2 - 4 years in consulting, banking, strategy, business analysis or a similar field, ideally in SaaS, fintech or payments
Proven experience driving or supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives such as migrations, rollouts or process and operating-model changes
Strong quantitative and communication skills, comfortable with data, business cases and financial models
Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across Finance, R&D, Operations, Compliance, Legal and GTM
High tolerance for ambiguity, strong ownership and follow-through, keeping work moving even when things change
You use AI as a real part of your workflow, not as a novelty
Nice to have
Knowledge of payments or fintech value chains, pricing or unit economics
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence and Slack
