TITLE: Work Experience (WEX) Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Employer Services Manager
LOCATION: Deep East Texas Workforce Development Area
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Employee
Career Team is looking to hire a dynamic Work Experience (WEX) Coordinator to specialize in the work experience (WEX) process for participants, as well as other special projects. The WEX Coordinator works with Career Advisors, employers, and participants to place individuals into successful work experience opportunities. Work is performed under the supervision of the Employer Services Manager.
Your Impact on Career Team’s Success:
Serve as a key liaison among multiple stakeholders, facilitating collaboration to align goals and strategies while working closely with the Business Services Team, local employers, and other community stakeholders in the service area
Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, businesses, and community organization host sites
Become a subject matter expert on the labor market and career trends
Complete eligibility determination for participants entering the WEX program and accurately capture all pertinent information in the state system
Regularly assess and enhance work experience programs based on participant feedback to ensure high-quality experiences
Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators related to work experience placements
Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase work experience participation and engagement, in partnership with Career Advisors
Coordinate and lead training sessions to strengthen team members' skills in managing and supporting work experience opportunities
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of work experience program procedures and outcomes
Develop and use feedback mechanisms to continually improve the work experience for both participants and host businesses
Coordinate outreach and customer engagement strategies with the marketing team
Assist in onboarding new WEX participants in the ADP system and conduct bi-weekly payroll submissions for WEX hours worked
Work closely with the Career Team’s HR and Fiscal teams on onboarding and payroll accuracy
Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks
Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
Other duties and projects as needed
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location and within the community.
To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience coordinating programs in workforce development settings
Knowledge of the WIOA program and work experience (WEX) requirements
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships
Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks effectively
Strong experience with outreach and relationship-building with employers and key stakeholders
Proficient in data entry with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adherence to the principles of Extreme Customer Service in all interactions with internal and external customers
A Valid Driver's License

Salary: $38,000 - $40,000 /yr
Travel: As needed
