Role: VP Marketing - Maternity Cover (12 month FTC)

Department: Marketing

Reports into: Chief Operating Officer

Location: London (hybrid, office based in London 2-3 days p/week)

About the role:

Disguise is looking for an experienced marketing leader to lead our global marketing while our VP of Marketing is on maternity leave. This is a role for someone with 12+ years of experience in marketing, leading and global managing teams, who can step in, get up to speed fast, and own the strategy, the team and the numbers from week one.

You'll be the custodian of an established marketing function and a market-leading brand at a pivotal moment: our shift from a hardware-first business to a software-led platform. Your job is to protect what's working, push the growth agenda forward, and ensure the department remains high-performing, well-positioned and ready for a smooth transition at the end of the cover period

You're a commercially sharp, hands-on marketing leader who's done this before. You read a business quickly, make confident calls, and bring a team with you. Above all, you're excited to lead marketing for the platform behind some of the world's most ambitious live, virtual and immersive experiences.

What you'll do:

Own and drive the global marketing strategy across demand generation, product marketing, content, brand and events, with a relentless focus on pipeline and revenue growth.

Own the global marketing roadmap and budget, reporting progress, ROI and pipeline contribution to the C-team, SMT and wider business.

Sit on the Commercial Leadership Team as the voice of marketing, shaping go-to-market and contributing to the wider business direction, identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.

Lead a global marketing team of 10 - seven based in the UK, two in LA and one in Singapore - with five direct reports, working effectively across regions and time zones.

Coach and retain a talented global team through a period of leadership transition, and continue to attract, develop and retain exceptional marketing talent globally.

Partner closely with Sales leadership to align marketing with revenue targets and drive pipeline.

Work with the CPTO and Head of Product on product marketing: positioning, messaging, naming, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, pricing and feedback loops.

Keep Disguise positioned as the platform behind the world's most spectacular live entertainment moments and immersive spectacles, from events to venues and stadiums.

Ensure a coherent, consistent, market-leading brand across every customer touchpoint, online and offline.

Own the digital footprint and demand engine, including website, SEO and SEM, and run a modern, AI-enabled marketing automation stack that scales effectively and cost-efficiently.

Build and sustain a culture of measurement, tracking marketing ROI and lead generation across all activity with clear, trusted reporting into the business.

Set department and individual KPIs, balancing short-term results with the longer-term vision.

Partner with the Head of People to guide internal communications so the whole company stays aligned on key messages, values and brand positioning.

Your Experience and Skills:

Experience in a senior marketing leadership role (VP or Director+) for 12+ years, leading and managing global teams in a complex software and hardware, creative or media technology environment.

Experience owning a global marketing function: driving pipeline and revenue growth through integrated demand generation, brand and product marketing.

Experience stepping into established global teams and delivering at pace, with minimal ramp-up.

Experience owning budget, ROI, forecasting and reporting into an executive team or board.

Experience partnering with Sales and Product leadership to shape and execute go-to-market.

Experience running a modern martech stack and marketing automation, with a clear view of how AI is reshaping content, demand and team efficiency.

Experience representing a brand externally with press, analysts and partners.

Behaviours and values:

Commercially minded and data-driven

An inspiring people leader who motivates, coaches and retains teams through change

Highly collaborative, effective across Sales, Product, Operations, People and the wider executive team

A clear, compelling communicator with exceptional storytelling skills

Calm, organised and decisive, able to hold strategy steady while keeping delivery moving at pace

No Ego: being approachable, authentic and humble

Dynamic: being able to pivot quickly with an abundance of energy and resilience
