SRM Analysis Manager
The Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Analysis Manager will serve as the technical leader driving research, architecture development, analysis, evaluation, and test strategies that shape the next generation of SRM technologies. As the Analysis Manager you will define technical direction, lead multi-program initiatives, mentor and develop engineers, and deliver innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing the industry. The manager will additionally be continuously engaged in the development of analysis best practices, lessons learned, hiring, and growth of the analysis team as our SRM products evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Resource plan and prioritize program deliverables across a team of multi-disciplinary analysts
Serve as a company-wide subject matter expert providing strategic technical direction, mentorship and oversight across projects involving fluidic, structural, thermal, and performance modeling and analysis of SRM systems and components
Lead high-level collaboration and technical exchanges with government partners to advance the development, qualification and application of Ursa Major SRMs
Develop processes for analysis standardization, documentation and traceability. Train team members on the utilization of these processes and templates
Produce and review high-quality technical documentation, including major reports, publications, proposals and presentations and assist in the development of product specifications and statements of requirements
Lead and oversee urgent failure investigations, failure analysis and facilitate production deviation closures with meeting engineering requirements and mission objectives
Prepare and deliver technical briefings, major program efforts and findings to internal and external customers, including government and commercial entities
Provide cross‑team leadership, drive best practices in analysis, and support organization‑wide capability development

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in fluid, structural, thermal and/or performance analysis of aerospace components and systems
Experience leading teams of engineering analysts
Ability to interpret and influence engineering drawings, specifications, system requirements and test data
Experience working with cross-functional teams, interfacing with internal/external customers
Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, strong problem-solving skills
Experience in failure investigations and root-cause analysis
Working knowledge of industry standards and accepted analysis methodologies
Desired Experience
Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
Technical knowledge of rocket motor components and processes
Hands-on experience with testing and data correlation
Program management experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
Deep experience with industry standard analysis software packages (e.g. ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, etc.)
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $148,000 - $185,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can’t quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.
