About the Role

As a member of our Business Systems Engineering team, you will build or improve tools that are used daily by Go to Market teams. Our goal is to find bottlenecks and friction points, and drive process improvements as well as come up with technical solutions. Our team is the custodian of data that is used by sales, order, finance, support teams. We emphasize automation over operation, metrics over anecdotes, iteration over perfection and being proactive over responsive.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires you to be onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

What You'll Do

Engineer and maintain platforms and data pipelines that read, mutate and write data at scale.

Determine architecture for systems that deal with multiple external vendors as well as internal systems.

Collaborate with different GTM teams and advise on the right engineering solution to business problems.

Improve operational excellence on existing systems.

Contribute to the long term roadmap on keeping GTM data quality high.

Use LLMs to help evaluate data state and create artifacts for users to quickly consume data.

What You Bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

5+ years of software engineering with a focus on data systems

In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing

Passion for observability and reliability

Advanced skill in Python and SQL.

Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Bonus: Familiarity with GTM facing vendors such as ZoomInfo, Outreach, Marketo, Clay, Rox.

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
