Senior Manager Product Operations, FCM Ops
Team/ Role Paragraph: The FCM Operations team supports Coinbase Financial Markets, Inc.’s US Futures, Options, and Prediction Markets businesses by managing critical operational workflows, including trade flow and position management, margin monitoring, internal and regulatory reporting, and business analytics. The team also enables new product launches, feature enhancements, and vendor management.
We are seeking a senior individual contributor who can operate at both strategic and execution depth, using technical and regulatory expertise to evolve the FCM operating model. This person will identify where workflows, controls, and tooling may break as the business scales, partner cross-functionally to design better solutions, and drive those solutions through implementation. This role is ideal for a hands-on, product-oriented operator who can translate business complexity into scalable processes, control frameworks, and operational tooling.
What you’ll do:
Own and continuously improve the FCM operating model across core workflows including trade flow management, position management, margin monitoring, internal reporting, regulatory reporting support, and business analytics.
Lead the design and build of scalable operational solutions across people, process, and tooling, with a focus on reducing manual effort, increasing control quality, and improving operational resilience.
Monitor and track stability in the environment and across process reliability using data and operational insights.. Provide transparency on health, categorize and prioritize enhancements required and lead to delivery across a high-stakes regulated environment.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Accounting, Compliance, Legal, and external partners to shape requirements, influence roadmap priorities, and ensure business needs are translated into practical, well-controlled solutions.
Drive strategic initiatives across launch readiness, process redesign, automation, control architecture, vendor tooling, and remediation of operational pain points.
Define future-state workflows and ownership models for new products, features, and business expansions, ensuring that operational considerations are embedded early in design rather than addressed after launch.
Establish and elevate documentation, policies, procedures, governance standards, and decision frameworks for critical workflows and strategic changes.
Required Skills and Experience:
Deep knowledge of listed derivatives, futures operations, and broker-dealer or FCM workflows.
Significant experience in operations, product operations, business operations, or program leadership in regulated financial services.
Strong hands-on technical knowledge of trade processing systems, books and records, and related infrastructure.
Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives in the listed derivatives ecosystem.
Proven ability to operate autonomously at a senior individual contributor level with both strategic judgment and hands-on execution.
Strong track record leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and turning them into durable process or tooling improvements.
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to build scalable operating solutions.
Excellent analytical, prioritization, communication, and systems-thinking skills.
Uses generative AI responsibly, with strong human oversight to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
