In this role, you will help design and build modern, high-performance web and Electron-based desktop applications that secure data for millions of users worldwide. This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA area.

About the Job

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Vault team, you will architect and deliver features across Keeper’s Web Vault. You will collaborate closely with Product, UX, Backend, QA and Security teams to ensure Vault remains secure, performant and intuitive. This is primarily a web application engineering role with a strong focus on React, TypeScript and modern frontend architecture. Experience with Electron, C++ or native desktop integrations is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement modern, scalable web interfaces using React, Redux and TypeScript

Design and deliver features across Keeper’s Web Vault

Integrate with RESTful APIs while adhering to Keeper’s zero-knowledge and zero-trust security principles

Optimize application performance, including rendering efficiency, bundle size, memory usage and responsiveness

Collaborate with UX, Product, Backend, QA and Security teams to deliver secure, high-quality user experiences

Lead code reviews, promote engineering best practices and mentor less experienced engineers

Participate in CI/CD, automated testing and release processes to improve product quality and reliability

Troubleshoot complex frontend, browser and integration issues across supported environments

Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to improve coding, debugging, testing, technical research and documentation

Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend or web application development

Strong expertise in React, Redux and JavaScript/TypeScript

Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management and component design

Experience building and maintaining complex web applications

Deep understanding of performance optimization, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility

Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across modern web environments

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools effectively to improve software development, debugging, testing and technical documentation

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud environments, qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building security, identity, password management or other security-sensitive web applications

Experience with Electron-based desktop applications

Familiarity with C++ and/or Objective-C for native integrations

Experience with Node-API/N-API or similar native integration technologies

Familiarity with zero-knowledge, zero-trust or encryption-focused application architectures

Experience with accessibility standards and secure client-side development practices
