Road Manager – Warren Miller Film Tour
About the Role
Outside, Inc. is seeking a Road Manager to oversee operations and logistics for the Warren Miller Entertainment Film Tour. Warren Miller Entertainment is one of the largest, most established, and successful action sports film companies today, with more than 76 years of snow sports filmmaking experience. The annual Warren Miller Film Tour continues the legacy of the brand, reaching more skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts than any other snow sports film to date.
The primary responsibilities involve managing and executing tour logistics, travel operations, tour finances, ticketing settlements, and local venue coordination. This is an active leadership role where the Road Manager serves as the primary leader of a 4-person road crew (alongside the Projectionist, Emcee, and Brand Ambassador) across a multi-venue film tour on a 5–7 week schedule starting October 12, 2026 and ending between November 23 - December 6 depending on crew. Critical tasks include day-of-show scheduling, box office reconciliations, financial settlements, and supervising venue staff to ensure a seamless show execution.
Note: This role is fully mobile with constant travel required and includes sharing lodging/accommodations with another member of the crew.
Basic Responsibilities
Logistics, Travel & Financial Management
Efficiently manage logistics, ground movement, and travel operations for the 4-person crew to ensure smooth coordination between tour venues.
Operate within budgeted guidelines to maintain the financial viability and profitability of the tour.
Assume direct responsibility for finances, ticketing management, box office sales, and day-of-show scheduling with meticulous attention to detail.
Coordinate venue box offices, ticket outlets, off-site ticket agents, and corporate accounts to maintain full control over event day ticket sales and allocations.
Perform nightly reconciliations of receipts and box office numbers with venue/theater accounting staff at each show.
Provide comprehensive weekly settlements, financial recaps, audience feedback, and performance results to the Outside Events team.
Crew Leadership & Event Execution
Serve as the active, primary leader of the 4-person road crew, supervising crew members to ensure duties are executed with precision and professionalism.
Oversee local theater and venue staff to guarantee flawlessly executed events at each location.
Act as the primary problem solver for addressing and resolving any issues that arise on tour, utilizing HQ resources when necessary.
Demonstrate quick decision-making skills to make on-the-fly improvements to tour execution and offer recommendations for future enhancements.
Pre-Show Setup & Physical Operations
Participate fully as an active member of the 4-person road crew in all pre-show setup and post-show loadout duties.
Assist with the heavy lifting and transportation of Tour gear (must be able to lift more than 50 lbs regularly).
Collaborate with all 4 crew members (Road Manager, Projectionist, Emcee, Brand Ambassador) to set up equipment at each venue, including hands-on construction and assembly of the projection screen when required.
Administrative & Feedback
Complete and review required daily reports on tour operations and logistics.
Provide a comprehensive post-tour recap to optimize future WME tours for maximum efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience in live event management, tour production, or venue operations is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and Slack is essential for efficient communication, tracking, and organization.
Highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and possessing excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proactive problem solver, capable of thinking critically and making confident decisions in fast-paced live event environments.
Energetic and passionate individual who thrives in a mobile, event-focused environment.
Display a confident and professional demeanor in all personal, written, and phone interactions.
Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and executing daily physical setup/breakdown work.
An appreciation and familiarity with the winter sports industry and Warren Miller Entertainment is strongly preferred.

What We Offer:
For this seasonal/temporary role you can expect to be paid $950 per week. In addition, you will be compensated a taxable per diem rate of $70/day for scheduled days actively working on the tour.
