The Ecosystem team is a function within Product and Technology at Okta focused on expanding our breadth and depths of SaaS integrations, a C-level priority for the company. Our team was created to ensure SaaS ISVs (independent software vendors) have the knowledge, tools, and incentives to build and expand their integrations that support and/or extend our core product functionality. Okta’s ecosystem is a core differentiator, and developing a scalable and programmatic approach to standards-based ecosystem development will be a critical driver to our next stage of growth.
The Principal Product Manager of Identity Standards opportunity
Reporting to the SVP, ISV Ecosystem, this role will work in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Design, and Partnerships to build and expand our impact on industry standards across Okta, Auth0, and ISVs. This role will focus on the identity standards around the emerging Agentic ecosystem, leading the industry in identity governance standards across application and AI management.
What you’ll be doing
Contribute to standards in the identity space, specifically relating to AI Agents and SaaS Security.
Provide a strong point of view how Okta should be leading identity governance standards vs. being reactive.
Help guide Okta and Auth0’s proposed changes to Agent Identity and Federation and related extensions through the standards process.
Work with ISVs to evangelize best practices when building on top of Okta and Auth0, increasing our integration breadth and depth.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to bridge product roadmaps and standards development across Identity Governance, Identity Threat Protection, and AI security products
Partner with Developer Success and Product Marketing teams to develop collateral and drive adoption of new standards.
What you’ll bring to the role & what we’re looking for
5+ years of experience working with or on modern identity providers
4+ years of experience as a product manager in the SaaS space.
3+ years of experience working with identity standards bodies
Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions.
Travel to identity and security conferences, especially in Asia
Additional skills we value
Experience in designing, reviewing, and documenting RESTful APIs
Specific experience helping partners implement technical standards, particularly those involving provisioning and de-provisioning
The ability to translate abstract standard requirements into concrete, shippable product features with clear value propositions for customers.
**This person must attend in person orientation in the San Francisco office the first week of employment.
**This person must go into the Bellevue office 2 days a week.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington is between:
$226,000—$311,000 USD
