About the Team

Our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team is re-inventing the way consumers think about grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail delivery through both our first-party and third-party operations businesses. DashMarts are our first-party offering designed to provide on-demand deliveries through a new type of convenience. Inside DashMarts we sell household essentials, groceries, brand-name favorites, local favorites and so much more! Our third-party operations business [internally known as 3P], enables last mile delivery for third-party enterprise & SMB merchants we partner directly with.

About the Role

We are expanding our Logistics function across both DashMarts & 3P and hiring two Managers to own logistics workstreams that will directly impact bottom line efficiency and end to end dasher experience. You will own reporting on weekly metrics across dasher pay and dasher efficiency, building the strategy and executing to drive impact, , and improving the Dasher experience to keep our fleet healthy. You will work directly with finance, product, engineering, analytics and local operations.

You will report to a Senior Manager within our Central Strategy & Operations team and manage a team of one. We operate in a hybrid model - you will spend some time in your home office, in person via offsites and testing products in the field - across DashMarts and third-party stores.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Build. You will build & operationalize dasher strategy across New Verticals by enabling improved forecast systems, building ways to operate more efficiently and test your outcomes in store.

Analyze & Iterate. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch and maintain forecasting enhancements — from writing complex SQL queries to drafting product requirements and supporting GTM efforts. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of operational experiments, model tradeoffs, and iterate based on data.

Scale. You’ll transform analytical insights into operational experiments that create measurable and scalable improvements in forecast precision.

Experiment. You will identify variance drivers, develop hypotheses, and test model and product changes in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data Science — including leveraging AI-enabled tools to uplevel the way we operate internally & externally.

Collaborate. You’ll influence a cross-functional team, including local operations, engineering, product, and data science, driving alignment on roadmap priorities.

Lead. You will manage at least one direct report.

We’re excited about you because…

You’re analytical and a tool builder. You have a strong analytical background, advanced SQL proficiency, and a deep understanding of AI tooling. You have past experience building models from scratch, you use data to forecast outcomes.

You are AI native. You have working proficiency with Claude and Cursor and a track record of building automated tools & forecast systems.

You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to solve operational problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.

You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds with data and real life operations, but you’re just as comfortable influencing roadmap discussions and strategic priorities.

You have 6-8+ years of professional experience. Ideally you have a combination of experiences in product operations, logistics, engineering, launch operations, or business operations with the start of your career being in financial services or consulting.

You have at least 2+ years of operational experience in marketplaces, food & beverage, logistics or product operations.

You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree ideally in business, mathematics, engineering or finance. MBA is a plus!
