Overview

As Manager, Control Design & Assurance at Fanatics Betting & Gaming, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of our enterprise-wide compliance framework by partnering with first-line business teams to design and strengthen compliance controls while independently validating the effectiveness of those controls, monitoring programs, and other risk mitigation measures across FBG’s operational units and product lines.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Enterprise Compliance, you will work closely with FBG business units and product lines to: i) advise first-line control owners on the design and implementation of practical, sustainable controls that address identified compliance risks; ii) evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of those controls; iii) identify control gaps or weaknesses; iv) recommend and coordinate remediation enhancements; and v) promote clear ownership, accountability, and transparency throughout the control lifecycle. First-line business teams will retain ownership and responsibility for executing their controls, with this role providing compliance expertise, constructive challenge, and independent assurance.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across FBG, including business unit and product line leaders and the Legal and Regulatory Compliance teams, to operationalize a mature, scalable compliance control design, monitoring, and testing program that proactively mitigates legal, regulatory, and ethical risks. This includes supporting new products and processes by helping first-line teams translate compliance obligations into clearly documented and operationally effective controls.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include developing, documenting, and executing a structured, risk-based compliance testing program designed to assess adherence to established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and control expectations.

The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong documentation skills and sound judgment. With a focus on objectivity, defensibility, and operational effectiveness, they will bring thoughtful, practical solutions to a rapidly growing organization while contributing at a hands-on level. They are comfortable partnering with the business while maintaining professional independence, challenging assumptions, identifying root causes, and driving measurable improvements across business functions.
