About the team and role:

We're looking for a Public Relations Lead who's always plugged into what's trending. Someone who knows which brand's marketing is having a moment, which campaign just went viral, and what CMOs are talking about right now. And already thinking about how to insert Klaviyo into that conversation. You'll tell that story to brand marketers, CMOs, and the customers we serve. You'll be responsible for building out our biggest research moments including Black Friday/Cyber Monday and quarterly reports on the trends marketers care about most. This is a role for someone who's fully entrenched in what good marketing looks like, quick to newsjack a great campaign, and driven to build the story so our customers see the role Klaviyo can play in it too.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

Run the press office day-to-day in partnership with our PR agencies, proactively pitching stories, securing high-impact coverage, and building relationships with reporters and influencers across marketing, retail, and commerce.

Keep a close pulse on marketing, commerce, and the broader news cycle — know what's trending, move fast to newsjack the moments worth jumping on, and draft exec statements and comments that can go out same-day.

Identify and secure speaker opportunities at key events and award opportunities to amplify Klaviyo’s thought leaders.

Drive thought leadership programs for our CMO and other key executives, developing compelling points of view and identifying opportunities to build their presence in market

Partner with Customer Marketing to find the customers with the most compelling stories for press.

Own our thought leadership research arm, the stake-in-the-ground research that fuels our storytelling, from shaping our BFCM story each year to planning what research we'll publish every quarter.

Bring the creative energy to our biggest moments like K:BOS and K:LDN: get press to the event, organize panelists, and build the brand story around it.

Use and build AI tools to automate and speed up the team's workflows

Excellent writing skills, with the ability to turn research and trends into sharp, pitchable narratives and exec talking points.

Experience partnering with executives on thought leadership — shaping their point of view and building their presence in market.

Comfortable using AI tools to move faster, with a collaborative, self-starter mindset who can run with ideas and execute.
