Head of New Verticals
About The Role
We're looking for a UK Head of New Verticals to lead the launch and early scaling of new health categories. Reporting to the Director of New Verticals, you'll line-manage a team of Category Leads and own each vertical from inception through to finding product-market fit and reaching £XXM+ ARR.
This is a role for a builder and operator in equal measure: someone who thrives in the space between zero and one, can hold both the strategic and the executional thread, and knows how to bring a team with them. You'll work closely with country managers to ensure global category launches land with consistency, and coordinate across PR, comms, and supply chain to make sure every public launch is ready to perform from day one.
You'll have real autonomy and the chance to shape multiple businesses inside a fast-growing health company. We want someone who is a true bar raiser, setting the standards on category delivery and making sure every service we launch is world class.
You will work closely with product managers, clinical leadership and legal and compliance to ensure our new verticals meet exceptionally high standards.
What You'll Do
Identify and model the commercial opportunities for each potential new vertical launch. Ensure that there robust alignment on the investment needed to launch a new product or category in the UK, and that the plans are aligned broadly with our global roadmap.
Work with the category lead, to build the experience end to end. You hold the standards for excellent, pushing all parts of the delivery team to go above and beyond.
Lead category launches end-to-end: Manage and develop a team of Category Leads, supporting them to take new verticals from early proposition through MVP, market testing, and into initial scale — holding the bar on pace, quality, and commercial rigour throughout.
Own the path to PMF and £XXM+ ARR: Define what success looks like for each category, set the milestones, and drive the team to hit them — using data and patient feedback to iterate quickly and make smart go/no-go calls.
Coordinate global launch readiness: Work with country managers across markets to ensure global category launches are aligned on timing, positioning, and operational readiness. Be a critical part of the connective tissue between the UK launch model and international execution.
Align PR, comms and supply chain: Ensure that public launches of Hims and Hers categories are supported by the right external narrative and operational infrastructure — partnering with comms and supply chain teams to remove blockers and sequence launches well.
Shape exceptional patient experiences: Partner closely with Product, Medical, Marketing, and Ops to build seamless, intuitive journeys that solve real patient problems — and that meet our high bar for clinical quality.
Drive commercial strategy at the category level: Own the P&L per vertical, define pricing models and growth levers, and work with the Director of New Verticals to build a clear pathway to long-term sustainability. Work with the S&O leads, and the commercial team, to ensure pricing and discounting strategies are sustainable.
About You
You're a ruthless operator with a builder's instincts — energised by early-stage environments, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to bring structure and momentum to complex launches. You have likely got some experience working in larger organisations, understanding the importance of regular, structured communications to the team. You care deeply about patients and hold yourself to a high bar on quality.
Skills & Experience
Strong commercial and operational track record (5+ years): You've owned the execution of new products or category launches — from early proposition through to market — and have the scars and wins to prove it.
Experience in health, D2C or subscription businesses: You understand what it takes to build high-trust patient or customer experiences, and you bring a genuine interest in improving people's health outcomes.
People leadership: You've managed and developed teams, and you know how to give your direct reports the clarity, support, and challenge they need to do their best work.
Cross-functional coordination at pace: You've worked across product, clinical, marketing, and ops teams — aligning people around shared goals and moving quickly without losing quality.
Data-driven and outcome-obsessed: You interrogate data, run experiments, and iterate fast — focusing on the actions that meaningfully move the needle on engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Behaviours & Attitudes
Patient-first mindset: You hold a high bar for clinical quality and empathy, ensuring every vertical we launch genuinely improves patient health and experience.
Entrepreneurial and structured: You're creative, resourceful, and comfortable in uncertainty — but you also bring the follow-through and operational discipline to land complex launches well.
Strong communicator: You can represent the new verticals strategy clearly to country managers, senior stakeholders, and your own team — adapting your message without losing the thread.
Curious and growth-oriented: You actively seek new perspectives, adapt based on evidence, and embrace the learning curve of building in new health domains.
Bonus Points
Direct experience in health or preventative care — particularly across our new business lines (diagnostics, hair loss, menopause, TRT)
Experience working across international markets or with country-level general managers
Background in PR, comms strategy, or supply chain coordination for consumer launches
Successful track record in launching and scaling subscription-based health services
