Executive Assistant
West Monroe is seeking a highly proactive, resourceful Executive Assistant to join our organization and provide support to senior leadership. This is not a traditional administrative support role. We are looking for someone who anticipates needs, operates with urgency, exercises strong judgment, and consistently thinks one step ahead. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-moving environment, take ownership without waiting for direction, and find thoughtful solutions when priorities shift or the path forward is not immediately clear.
What You Will Do
Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership, anticipating needs, identifying potential issues, and taking action to keep priorities moving forward.
Manage complex and dynamic calendars with a strong understanding of business priorities, proactively resolving conflicts and making thoughtful decisions about how time is allocated.
Stay ahead of upcoming meetings, deadlines, commitments, and decisions, ensuring leaders have the information, materials, and preparation needed to be effective.
Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, anticipating potential disruptions and developing solutions or contingency plans when needed.
Support internal and external meetings, including logistics, agendas, materials, communications, follow-ups, and action items.
Build strong relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders, using sound judgment and discretion when navigating requests and competing priorities.
Take ownership of administrative processes, expenses, documents, presentations, and other executive support needs while identifying opportunities to make processes more efficient.
Approach ambiguous requests with curiosity and resourcefulness, independently determining next steps and bringing forward solutions rather than waiting for direction.
Leverage AI and automation tools to improve executive support, including synthesizing information, preparing meeting materials, streamlining administrative tasks, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
What You Will Bring
5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting senior executives in complex, fast-paced organizations.
Experience in financial services, private equity, investment management, or another high-intensity professional environment strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, think several steps ahead, and take initiative with limited direction.
Strong judgment and ability to independently prioritize competing demands, solve problems, and determine when escalation is needed.
A high sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability, with the flexibility to adapt as priorities change.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, paired with the ability to understand the broader context behind requests and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence interacting with senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders.
High degree of discretion, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Concur and complex travel coordination preferred.
Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
