Position Summary

Metrea is looking for a European Statutory  Reporting Manager to take ownership of financial reporting and statutory compliance across our European entities — a role at the heart of a fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional business.

Reporting to the European Financial Controller, you'll lead statutory accounts, audit coordination, and tax and regulatory reporting, acting as the key link between our finance function and external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.

Reporting to the European Financial Controller, you'll bring strong technical expertise — particularly in UK GAAP — along with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complexity, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to shape how reporting works across a growing international business.

What You'll Do

Own and manage the statutory and regulatory reporting calendar across all European entities, ensuring compliance with local filing requirements and proactive management of deadlines.

Lead the preparation, review, and submission of annual statutory financial statements for European legal entities, including all required disclosures and reconciliations from U.S. GAAP group reporting to applicable local GAAP frameworks.

Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, leading the annual audit process end-to-end — planning, coordination, issue resolution, and review of audit findings, management letter recommendations, and proposed adjustments — ensuring statutory financial statements accurately reflect underlying accounting records.

Prepare and review consolidation and statutory reporting adjustments for the UK Group in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Deliver periodic internal reporting requirements, including maintenance of the European intercompany matrix, reconciliation of intercompany balances, and analysis of consolidation and elimination entries.

Monitor and communicate the status of statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance obligations — coordinating with internal and external tax advisors on direct and indirect tax requirements across European jurisdictions — and provide regular updates to finance leadership

Provide technical accounting support across the European Group, including researching complex accounting matters, preparing accounting position papers, and drafting technical accounting memoranda.

Maintain expertise in UK GAAP and other relevant European accounting and regulatory frameworks, proactively assessing the impact of new standards and emerging reporting requirements.

Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the European finance organization.

Partner effectively with finance leadership, operational teams, and external advisors on strategic projects, acquisitions, restructurings, and other ad hoc initiatives as required.
