The Strategic Finance Director plays a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company. You're a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in finance, strategic planning, and business processes, and a proven track record of driving financial performance and growth. You'll lead a high-impact team while staying hands-on in the work yourself, a player-coach who's as comfortable building the model as developing the people around it. It's built for someone who blends sharp financial instincts with a natural fluency in data, equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and digging into the numbers behind it, and who's excited to work at the intersection of finance and analytics.

Focus areas: Strategic Finance, GTM Finance, and Analytics-driven Insight

Your Area of Focus

Define, report on and influence through the underlying key operating levers that drive our performance. Eg, what are the operating metrics that ultimately will shift customer acquisition, GRR, NRR, payments adoption, etc. Partner with Go-to-Market, Product, CS and the broader leadership team in a way that creates positive outcomes for our business. You'll make these teams better through influence, not authority; you don't run GTM, you help GTM win.

Create the framework and define the big rocks and the key performance indicators/outcomes for the long-term plan (3-year model). You'll own and build this model hands-on. Be able to engage with and influence the management team to help prioritize initiatives and investments, growth targets, and capital allocation.

Be a business partner and lead a team that helps our Go-to-Market teams (Sales, Marketing, CS) have visibility on their business and be a trusted advisor on how to drive performance improvement, new greenfield investments, and decisions that impact our long term company objectives.

Develop a thorough understanding of our business and our market to help derive and execute ideas to grow our business in areas such as product expansion, new revenue models and M&A.

Build operations that can scale. Leverage modern platforms (Snowflake, dbt) and put AI to work in real workflows in partnership with the analytics team.

Ensure the company's financial health and sustainability through effective risk management.

Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

Your Professional Qualifications

BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics, or an applicable field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

10+ years of experience ideally reflecting a combination of FP&A / Investor Relations / Corporate Development and financial/accounting services experience (investment banking, private equity, venture capital or Big 4 accounting)

3+ years of managerial experience. You’re energized by being a hands-on player-coach and can develop and mentor a high performing team.

Outstanding project management skills with experience and ability to help drive the budget process with multiple stakeholders and interests.

Strong understanding of GTM strategies, corporate finance and accounting concepts, three statement financial modeling, and SaaS KPIs.

Excel expert with ability to build models from scratch and proficient with financial reporting systems; Netsuite, Adaptive and Tableau knowledge a plus.

Excellent communicator (both written and verbal), with the ability to present to senior management in a clear, concise manner.

Exceptional attention to detail. The kind of operator who catches the one blank cell that quietly overstates a model, and reconciles to the source before anyone has to ask.

Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with Executive leadership.

Strong sense of ownership and leadership initiative, with a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed deadlines.

Strong business sense, with the ability to understand changing industry forces.

High personal and professional integrity, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into anything and everything to support the business.
