POSITION SUMMARY

The Therapy Development Specialist (TDS), is responsible for supporting a broad range of activities for North or South China, including clinical support of product usage in the operating theatre, supporting therapy development-related activities such as running training and education programs, monitoring therapy adoption, and adjusting courses, when and if necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

This role has three important areas of responsibility, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience and achievement in all three areas.

Clinical Support for Cases:

Master the clinical and product knowledge required by the job.

Responsible for providing professional case support to the customers in the region independently.

Establish a good relationship with customers.

Provide professional academic support to clients to enhance their surgical skills and help them keep abreast of the latest therapy-related information.

Support in collecting and reporting product complaints and HCP’s feedback related to AtriCure products during or after case support.

Lead the execution of Training & Education that sets the benchmark for clinical outcomes.

Drive training & education for Health Care Professionals related to cardiac ablation in China based on the Physician Training Pathway

Follow-up with surgeons who have attended the skills-building training programs at the CoEs and Regional Training Centers - to drive therapy adoption.

Support and drive training & education programs execution planned for the entire year.

Responsible for executing relevant on-the-ground marketing and professional education programs, including working with the course faculty, and communicating with the field and management on course status and results.

Collaborate with Marketing, T&E, and Commercial Leadership teams:

This role will require frequent collaboration with regional commercial leaders, China, and APGC T&E and Marketing partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education

Educated to at least a bachelor’s degree level in a scientific or medical area.

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of Medical Device industry experience, 3+ years of experience preferred.

Experience developing a new therapy in China as part of a clinical or therapy development team is preferred.

Experience working in an Operating Room, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, or Cath Lab either in an industry or clinical role.

Experience interacting with clinical faculty.

Effective cross-functional collaborator, with demonstrated competency in a diverse workforce.

Skills

Good command of English skills both spoken and written.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people across all levels.

Excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must enjoy and excel at personal relationship-building.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Be willing to be challenged and grow within the role and company.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel 50% if required – this will mostly be planned interstate conferences or ad hoc case support.
