A leader of leaders who develops managers and directors, builds a strong bench, and creates a team culture of ownership, curiosity, inclusion, and continuous learning
A calm incident leader who brings clarity under pressure and communicates decisively with company leadership, customers, and regulators
A decisive risk owner who separates real risk from noise, makes timely trade-offs across budget, risk, and velocity, and invests where it counts
A trust builder who sees security as a competitive advantage and earns credibility with the ELT, the Board, customers, and auditors
An agile communicator who translates complex security and technology risks into clear recommendations for executives, the Board, customers, and partners

Lead security response for serious incidents, from detection and triage through executive, customer, regulatory, and post-incident communications
Own annual disaster recovery exercises with Platform Engineering and regulatory notification timelines
Establish governance for how AI is used across Greenhouse, by our people and in our product, including acceptable-use policies and standards, data handling, access boundaries, human oversight, and auditability
Lead Greenhouse’s data security and governance program, including data classification, access controls, data loss prevention, and data residency, in partnership with Privacy and Legal
Partner with Product, Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Finance on secure-by-default design, identity, and customer commitments
Advise Sales and Customer Success on strategic security reviews and enterprise deals, and join customer trust conversations with CISOs and CTOs as needed
Represent Greenhouse security with the Board, customers, prospects, partners, auditors, and industry audiences
Lead security due diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions
You should have
12+ years of experience in security, including 5+ years leading a multidisciplinary security organization
Experience serving as a Head of Security, CISO, Vice President of Security, or comparable senior security leader

Experience across security operations, cloud security, product security, identity and access management, risk, compliance, and incident response
Experience leading serious security incidents in partnership with Legal, communications, executives, customers, and regulators
Experience working with external auditors and leading compliance and assurance programs such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
