The Role

As a Vice President, Client Management, you will be a senior leader within the Client Management organization at Modern Health and expected to play a role in the satisfaction and retention of all of Modern Health’s clients.   You will directly manage a team of strategic, enterprise and global client executives that are responsible for caring for our largest clients. You will also be tasked with driving various initiatives (including value realization and storytelling) across the entire book of Modern Health clients.

Ideal candidates will have significant prior experience managing large-scale client relationships as an individual contributor as well as experience leading teams to deliver exceptional results.  Candidates are highly proficient communicators and have exceptional client skills, with a proven track record of delivering results with Fortune 500 employers.  Commercial and financial acumen with the enterprise market is also a must.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

Lead a team of 5-8 high performing client managers / account directors that lead our largest client accounts

Develop executive relationships with clients in your portfolio in an executive sponsor capacity

In partnership with the SVP of Client Management, co-lead the deployment of Value Management client methodology to the entire Client Management organization.

Serve as the Client Management representative on a few key functional teams (eg Marketing, Pricing, etc), with the ability to effectively articulate and influence outcomes.

Build and manage relationships with a broad range of global stakeholders including Benefit Managers, HR Executives, and consultants

Partner and support sales initiatives by representing the Client Management role, organization and how we support and partner with customers

Use your exceptional financial acumen to lead with data and make recommendations for strategic positioning and growth

Serve as the leader of our growing Global team, helping us continue to refine and evolve that important part of our go-forward strategy.

Who You Are

Experience & Background

20-25+ years of high performance in client/account management/ consulting roles, with growing responsibility across organizations and ultimate experience leading P&Ls and/or jumbo market and global client relationships and teams.

Healthcare or benefits consulting/administration experience is preferred

Proven success strategically and autonomously managing a team and driving results across a matrixed organization

Language Skills

Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus

Proven track record of leading teams and account portfolios to achieve strong retention, adoption, renewal, and expansion outcomes, including closing large and complex expansion opportunities

Skilled at developing and operationalizing account strategies that maximize customer value, strengthen executive alignment, and drive sustainable revenue growth

Ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and position the team as a strategic advisor to customers

Proactive in anticipating account risks, establishing escalation strategies, and ensuring timely, cross-functional resolution of complex issues

Experienced in leading high-stakes client conversations, coaching others through objection handling, and overseeing complex negotiations with clients

Engaging, executive-level presentation skills with experience sponsoring and leading high-visibility initiatives such as QBRs and ABRs

Ability to understand each client’s unique health and benefits eco-system and able to consult as a thought partner and advocate for that client.

Ranges are not necessarily indicative of the associated starting pay range in other locations. Depending on the scope of the role, some ranges are indicative of On Target Earnings (OTE) and includes both base pay and commission at 100% achievement of established targets.
