About the Role

The Community Manager is responsible for the activation of our brand voice across social channels and for developing a thriving and engaged community. This role blends creativity, communication and data-driven insights to build meaningful relationships with the audiences of our brands. As a Community Manager, you’ll support our prestigious automotive clients. This includes key activities such as content calendar publishing, collaborating on creative production ideation, community management and moderation, and results reporting.

*Note: Must be available to work Eastern Time hours, approximately 10:00 AM–6:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Social Media + Community Management:

Social Media Management:

Platform Expertise: Understand social media platforms and manage live/active social media calendars in partnership with the Social Media Strategy team.

Calendar Planning: Work on content calendars, including the timely publishing of social media posts.

Content Publishing: Manage the flow and content distribution according to clients' brand pillars and brandbooks, ensuring effective dissemination across various channels.

Community Management:

Manage and grow online communities across platforms, ensuring timely, authentic engagements.

Develop guidelines and moderation processes to maintain a safe, respectful community experience

Monitor conversations, respond to messages, and foster a positive, inclusive environment within all community spaces.

Attend and support live-event coverage and content capture, as required.

Identify, nurture and support community champions and brand advocates.

Surprise + Delight: Manage the Surprise and Delight workflows, collaborating with internal teams and client to provide recommended opportunities to enhance community experience with proactive gifting.

User Generated Content: Manage the UGC program, collaborating with internal and external partners to gain rights to content that may be leveraged across marketing channels.

Reporting + Insight:

Reporting: Perform basic reporting on audience engagement and social listening to inform future strategies.

Trend Analysis: Stay updated on automotive industry trends, vehicle purchase behaviors, and cultural insights to inform content creation and strategy.

Data Utilization: Analyze data insights and metrics specific to automotive marketing to optimize content performance and inform future vehicle-related content initiatives.

About You

The essentials:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.

Acquaintance with the automotive industry (prior knowledge preferred).

Strong editing and proofreading skills to improve content quality and brand alignment.

Understanding of social media platforms and basic reporting skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, automotive-centric environment.

Collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cross-functional teams in the automotive industry.

On top of culture and trends, you know what's going to be cool before it is, including emerging social channels, tools, networks, etc.

Deep understanding of social media best practices, in terms of formats and tone of voice, as well as key social media channel ecosystems (Instagram, TikTok): trends, hashtags, automotive content usage, functionalities, guidelines, and platform updates.

Ability to travel to the office & onsite client locations as needed.

Ability to derive strategic insights from listening, including knowledge of metrics, social listening tools, and digital reports.

Strong organizational and quality assurance skills for publishing on high-profile channels with meticulous attention to detail.

Familiarity with scheduling tools, social listening tools, and Content Management Systems.

Client Interaction: Comfortable interacting with internal departments and clients.

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.

What We Offer

Monks has provided an hourly rate that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The rate offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Hourly Rate

$65—$80 CAD
