Group Overview

Electromagnetic and Cyber Group (EM&C) is responsible for developing flexible and survivable advanced electronic warfare and secure communications equipment while providing the industry’s leading signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber experts.  Metrea specializes in signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and waveform development including waveforms for MANET and LPI/LPD applications. Metrea also develops special purpose radios for government customers and licenses DF and geolocation solutions to multiple OEMs.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for providing technical operations expertise, mission support, research and development, and solution design in support real world ISR mission efforts.

What You'll Do

Serve as a subject matter expert dedicated to identifying, developing, and delivering technical solutions in support of real world ISR mission efforts

Serve as a command and control liaison between the customer and mission platforms

Conduct research and development on emerging technologies, equipment, and TTPs in support of MSO’s operational solutions

Maintain and continuously improve personal technical proficiency in applicable technologies, TTPs, and equipment

Interface and coordinate with other Metrea entities, customers, external vendors, and attend applicable technical trade shows, workshops, and other events on behalf of Metrea

Strengthen technical proficiency and customer relationships by serving as an instructor for the department on an episodic basis

What You Bring

20 years’ experience in a similar role, including at least five overseas deployments with Special Operations Forces or the IC in a technical operations role (SI/EW operator, tactical Cyber operator, or equivalent)

Must possess above average initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance

Must possess strong technical proficiency in Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Cyberspace theory, operations, TTPs, equipment, and associated technologies, to include, but not limited to:  LINUX, computer networking, antenna construction/employment, and HF/VHF/UHF, DMR, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, 802.11, and Bluetooth protocols

Must possess experience and a working proficiency in Human Intelligence/Counterintelligence TTPs

Must possess the ability to maintain and quickly gain proficiency on emerging technologies and TTPs

Must possess strong communications skills and a solid command of the English language, both oral and written, and be comfortable with public speaking and briefing customers

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.

Work Environment

This role operates in an environment that varies from a clerical, office setting using standard office equipment to austere settings with various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

Travel

Ability to travel up to 50%. Additional travel may be required based on the business needs.
