A quick snapshot…

Staff Product Designers at Conga own a functional design area end-to-end, set the direction for our Phoenix design system, and lead research that shapes how the product evolves.

The strongest candidates combine rigorous research instincts, both qualitative and quantitative, with the strategic clarity to translate insight into action. They bring a point of view, engage with business context, and know how to build alignment across Product, Engineering, and leadership.

Why it’s a big deal…

Conga’s products are used by enterprise teams to manage some of the most consequential workflows in their business: contracts, pricing, revenue operations. When the experience is confusing, deals stall and teams lose trust in the tools. When it’s clear and well-considered, it compounds. As a Staff Product Designer, your decisions shape how thousands of enterprise users navigate complexity every day, set patterns that flow into the Phoenix design system, and influence how engineering builds.

Here’s what we’re looking for…

Contribute to product end-to-end experience design, from early problem framing and research through wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design

Plan and conduct strategic user research including interviews, usability testing, A/B testing, and concept validation

Work with product teams to define KPIs and build an analytics strategy that informs design decisions

Contribute to and apply our Phoenix design system, ensuring products are coherent and consistent at scale across the platform portfolio

Communicate design strategy to stakeholders across leadership, engineering, and product, adapting the story to the audience

Collaborate with product and engineering to make customer-focused decisions across core product areas

Lead design for AI-powered product experiences including agentic workflows, AI assistants, and automated decision surfaces - owning the strategic direction and setting patterns for the broader team

Research and pilot new AI tools and methodologies and share findings with the team

Mentor Senior and mid-level designers to elevate best practices and design thinking across the UX team

Required Skills:

8+ years of product design with a portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise or SaaS UX work

Able to plan and run qualitative and quantitative research independently, including interviews, usability testing, A/B testing, and concept validation

Meaningful contribution to a design system, including component design and cross-team collaboration on rollout and governance

Experience designing for AI-powered features: agentic workflows, AI assistants, or automated decision surfaces — with strategic ownership of direction and patterns

Proficiency in Figma including component architecture, auto layout, advanced prototyping, and design system contribution, plus hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (Claude Code, Cursor, v0, Bolt, or similar)

Experience with product analytics tools such as Pendo, Google Analytics, or similar

Strong communication and facilitation: able to run a critique, align a senior stakeholder, write a clear design brief, and adapt the story to the audience

Track record of mentoring and developing other designers

Nice to haves:

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or prompt design as they relate to user-facing product experiences

Experience contributing to a formal design system; designing for enterprise SaaS software

Understanding of API or product architecture decisions that affect UX in multi-tenant environments

Keep in mind:

Based in Sofia, Bulgaria; occasional travel (~10%) for research and team collaboration

Not a graphic design, marketing, or developer role. Interaction design, research, and systems thinking are core

Portfolio review will focus on research methodology, problem framing, design system contribution, and articulation of decisions, not just visual output

This role carries accountable ownership of a functional design area; we expect the judgment and initiative to match

Here’s what will give you an edge…

Passion. We know it when we see it. It shows up in the research you run unprompted, the systems you improve before anyone notices they’re broken, and the standard you hold your work to even when shipping fast.

Research Leadership. You treat research as a discipline, not a checkbox. You know when to go deep with qualitative methods and when a well-structured survey or funnel analysis gets you there faster. You build the team’s research capability by doing it well in front of them.

Systems Thinking. You see the pattern behind the feature. You make the design system better, not just bigger. You design for today’s problem without creating tomorrow’s debt.

Influence Without Authority. You know how to build alignment and move things forward without a mandate. You are clear, credible, and genuinely curious about what Engineering, Product, and leadership need.
