What You'll Do:

You'll join a team that is scaling as fast as the business it accounts for. We solve problems quickly, learn and improve as we go, and operate with positive intent, flexibility, and patience. This is a hands-on team that runs a monthly close and builds the process at the same time — teamwork and clear communication matter as much as execution. We win together.

About the Role:

The Senior Accountant, JV & VIE Accounting works across CoreWeave's joint ventures, investments and variable interest entities (VIEs). You will own the accounting for an assigned portfolio of JVs and investments, support the monthly close for VIE entities, coordinate with other accounting groups to ensure entries are recorded to the correct entities, and prepare and manage the workpapers that support financial statement disclosure.

This is a hands-on role well suited to someone who wants depth in consolidation, joint venture and structured entity accounting on a fast-moving program. You will prepare reconciliations and supporting workpapers for review, and work closely with teams across accounting, finance and legal. This role sits within the Leasing, Joint Venture, VIE and Construction Accounting team and reports to the Manager, JV & VIE Accounting.

JV & VIE Entity Close

Own the accounting for assigned JV entities and investments, including monthly close, financial statement preparation and partner reporting packages

Support the monthly close for VIE entities, preparing journal entries and supporting schedules

Maintain the completeness and accuracy of activity recorded at each entity, ensuring transactions are coded to the correct entity

Keep open items documented and current, so that issues are resolved as activity lands rather than at period end

Partner Transactions & Reporting

Prepare distributions, capital calls and waterfall calculations for assigned JVs in accordance with the JV operating agreements

Support communication with JV partners on reporting timelines, deliverables and accounting treatments for assigned entities

Intercompany & Consolidation

Prepare intercompany accounting across JV and VIE entities, including elimination entries and the reconciliation of intercompany balances

Support the consolidation of JV and VIE financial statements into CoreWeave's consolidated reporting

Coordinate with other accounting groups to ensure entries are recorded to the correct entities, following cross-entity items through to resolution

Workpapers & Disclosure Support

Prepare and manage the workpapers that support financial statement disclosure for joint ventures and VIEs

Document the basis for consolidation and disclosure conclusions, and keep supporting analyses current as entity structures change

Reconciliation & Reporting

Prepare the period-end reconciliations for assigned entity accounts

Investigate reconciling and outstanding items and follow them through to resolution

Prepare supporting schedules and variance explanations for review

Controls, Audit & Improvement

Maintain process documentation and evidence to meet Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements

Support internal and external audits, including JV-level audits, maintaining audit readiness for assigned entities and responding to information requests on a timely basis

Identify process improvements, including automation opportunities

Who You Are:

3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to consolidation, joint venture or structured entity accounting

Demonstrated experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations and workpapers on a fixed close calendar

Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including consolidation concepts; familiarity with operating in a SOX control environment

Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work accurately with large data sets

Proven ability to coordinate across accounting groups and work cross-functionally with non-accounting teams

ERP systems experience required; NetSuite an advantage

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain momentum in high-growth environments, including the capacity to act effectively when faced with ambiguity or incomplete data

Excellent organizational, time and self-management skills, and the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future

Preferred:

Strong preference for candidates with joint venture, VIE (ASC 810) or equity method accounting experience, or a background supporting financial statement disclosure.

Big 4 or public accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate.

Experience working with AI tools.

Wondering if you're a good fit? We believe in investing in our people and value candidates who can bring their diverse experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we've found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we'd love to talk.

You like being close to the detail — you'd rather be the person who knows what every open item is than the one who asks.

You're curious about why an entry belongs where it does, not just where it was coded, and you follow the question until it makes sense.

You want to build depth in joint venture and VIE accounting on a program where the volume and the pace will stretch you.
