Solutions Consultant
About The Role:
The Solutions Consultant role at LINQ is a key position responsible for effectively communicating and demonstrating the value of LINQ as a partner to K-12 Education. As the ambassador and expert on LINQ Nutrition solutions, you will play a crucial role in delivering compelling presentations that enhance the buyer journey and contribute to closing and retaining business — while also serving as a trusted source of field intelligence that shapes LINQ’s competitive strategy and product roadmap.
At LINQ, we prioritize our culture, and as a Solutions Consultant, you will become part of a close-knit community of presales professionals. You will also have the opportunity to support some of the best sales representatives in the K-12 technology space.
In this role, you will enjoy a flexible working environment, engaging in various tasks such as collaborating on market messaging, understanding the needs of clients and prospects, crafting persuasive stories and messages, configuring solutions, and delivering presentations.
As a Solution Consultant, you will be seen as a trusted advisor within the organization. Your responsibilities will include supporting sales teams in opportunity management, strategy development, conducting discovery sessions, responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), enabling sales tools, fostering internal collaboration, and engaging in strategic work across departments — including partnering with Product and Marketing to translate what you hear in the field into competitive positioning, product input, and go-to-market readiness.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Deliver compelling and dynamic presentations, demonstrations, conferences, workshops, and seminars of LINQ's solutions and enterprise story.
Assist in the sales development/discovery process to understand the needs of potential clients.
Utilize advanced storytelling techniques to effectively communicate LINQ's value proposition.
Assist in closing sales opportunities by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of our solutions, services, and training.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging strategies.
Develop in-depth knowledge of multiple solutions across the LINQ platform.
Partner with Product and Product Marketing to build and maintain competitive battlecards, differentiators, and value positioning for Nutrition, turning field intelligence into a living, maintained asset rather than one-off research.
Assist in translating RFPs — including competitor responses obtained through FOIA — into structured technical and functional checklists for Product, surfacing gaps and competitive requirement trends.
Provide field-based feedback to our development team regarding enhancements based on market needs, formally flagging functionality shifts and emerging district requirements as an ongoing read on where the market is moving.
Partner with Product and Marketing on new product launches, helping ensure the team and Sales are trained, equipped, and ready to sell new capabilities from day one.
Contribute field-based input as an independent data point in sales forecast validation, alongside what Sales and RevOps already bring.
Support sales methodology execution, including strategy development with internal resources tailored to each sales opportunity.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs and assist with final production, such as executive summaries.
Address complex questions from existing and potential clients.
Support the smooth handoff of customers from Sales to our Services organization after the close of a complex sale.
Assist with implementation, support, and customer retention as needed, including stepping in on at-risk accounts, as warranted, to help clarify solution functionality and rebuild customer confidence.
Help deliver roadmap read-outs that connect upcoming feature development to competitive differentiation and customer value, and support Customer Success Managers with enablement when they want to highlight upcoming features to customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
