Software Engineer III (Backend)

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer III, you will play a critical role in designing and building scalable backend systems that power 6sense’s next-generation AI-driven platform. You will work closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to build high-performance services, contribute to architectural decisions, and solve complex technical challenges. You will be responsible for developing robust backend applications, designing scalable APIs, and contributing to distributed systems that support enterprise-scale customers.

What will you own:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.

Build robust, reliable, and production-grade applications.

Contribute to the architecture and development of services, frameworks, and distributed systems.

Drive technical solutions and participate in system design discussions.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Identify opportunities for improving system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

What were looking for:

3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend development focus.

Strong programming experience in Java & Spring Boot.

Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable technical solutions.

Experience contributing to system design and architectural decisions.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to Python and React.

Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments.

Experience with data platforms, event-based systems, or large-scale data processing environments.

Familiarity with building AI/ML-enabled products or platforms.
