Software Engineer II - Growth
THE ROLE
Software Engineer II - Growth
We are seeking a Software Engineer II for the Growth Marketing Engineering Team. You are the kind of engineer who gravitates toward the hardest problems at the intersection of technology and performance marketing: designing a low-latency bidding optimization engine, building a reliable creative generation pipeline, or defining the architectural patterns that will shape how Quince scales its growth stack. You operate with high autonomy, hold yourself to exceptional standards, and naturally raise the bar for the engineers around you through rigorous code reviews, sharp technical judgment, and a bias toward clean, durable solutions over quick fixes.
Responsibilities
Designing and implementing software features and components, following best practices and coding standards with minimal supervision.
Contributing to identifying the root cause of complex problems, scale, and stability challenges.
Proposing a solution to mitigate them in the short/medium/long term horizon.
Keeping up-to-date with new technologies, frameworks, and best practices in software development, and applying them to improve the performance and reliability of software systems.
Writing and maintaining technical documentation, API specifications, code documentation, and technical design documents.
Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of coding standards and best practices.
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional growth and development.
Leading software development projects and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 2 years of professional experience working in building user facing products.
Experience in advertisement performance tooling is a plus.
Proficient in using debugging tools and techniques.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Understand the hustle of a startup and are good with handling ambiguity.
Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Curious, quick learner, scrappy and someone who loves to experiment.
