Software Engineer (AI Platform)

As a Software Engineer on Conga’s AI Platform team, you’ll help build next‑generation AI and GenAI products used by enterprises worldwide. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle - designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining software - while contributing to the technical foundation behind our flagship solutions.
This role is ideal for an engineer who already has solid experience and is ready to take on more ownership, work on more complex systems, and influence how features are designed and delivered.

Are you the person we're looking for?
You’re a strong, hands‑on engineer.
You write clean, maintainable, efficient code and have deep experience with Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery, and modern software design patterns. You’re comfortable navigating complex systems and contributing to architectural discussions.
You’re experienced across the full development lifecycle.
You’ve built and shipped production software. You understand how to design features, collaborate with product management, write tests, automate workflows, and deploy services in a cloud environment. You’re familiar with GitHub, JIRA, and DevOps principles.
You’re growing your AI/GenAI expertise.
You’re excited to work across the AI development lifecycle — from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. You enjoy experimenting with generative AI techniques and want to deepen your knowledge of MLOps and frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
You care about quality and service health.
You build testable software, automate tests using tools like PyTest or Selenium, and understand the importance of telemetry, observability, and root‑cause analysis. You proactively identify issues and help maintain service reliability.
You collaborate, communicate, and elevate others.
You participate actively in design reviews, give thoughtful code review feedback, and help maintain a high bar of technical excellence. You document your work clearly and contribute to training materials that help others learn.
You take ownership.
You’re ready to work in a DevOps model — partnering with product management to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in production. You manage priorities, negotiate deadlines, and deliver features with quality and clarity.
What will give you an edge
Experience with object‑oriented programming, concurrency, and REST APIs
Experience with CI/CD tools like Terraform or GitHub Actions
Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI, and MLOps concepts
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MSSQL, Postgres)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or GCP technologies (VertexAI, BigQuery, GKE, GCS, DataFlow, Kubeflow)
Experience with testing frameworks (PyMock, xUnit, mocking libraries)
Additional programming languages (C#, Java, Scala)
