The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

Verticals brings Komodo’s data and technology to payers, life sciences, providers, financial services, consultancies, agencies, and digital health companies. As Senior Vice President (SVP), you will successfully manage a team of senior sellers to effectively engage audiences within partnership Verticals and propose the appropriate suite of Komodo solutions to deliver value against an expansive set of high-priority customer needs.

Reporting to the head of the Verticals segment (GVP), you’ll lead a team of Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), all quota-carrying hunters selling into payer and life science vertical accounts. You will own the team’s net-new number and the forecast, coach every deal that matters, and step in personally when a strategic deal needs an executive.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…

Hit 100% of your team’s net-new ARR goal every quarter.

Built account plans that gave every AVP enough real opportunity to make their number.

Created a prospecting-first culture where every AVP owns a healthy, self-sourced pipeline.

Called your forecast accurately every quarter, grounded in disciplined MEDDPICC qualification.

Landed new logos in priority accounts, personally helping close the biggest ones.

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…

Lead, coach, and manage 5 to 7 AVPs. Own all first-line manager duties, from ramp to performance.

Align strategy and plan with the Group Vice President (GVP).

Set account assignments and quotas that turn strategy into a plan each AVP can win.

Own team quota and forecast. Run weekly pipeline and deal reviews using MEDDPICC.

Replan quickly when things change, like a slipped deal or a territory that isn’t producing.

Drive prospecting cadence and pipeline creation. Coach AVPs on outbound.

Join late-stage deals as executive sponsor or closer.

Partner with Product, Marketing, Market Access, and Customer Success to deliver for customers.

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

5+ years currently leading quota-carrying enterprise sales teams of hunters, with consistent quarterly attainment and accurate forecasting.

Extensive background meeting or beating individual quota before moving into leadership.

Sales experience with payers, life sciences, risk-based entities, or intermediaries. Depth across both payer and life sciences is a strong plus.

Experience selling SaaS, data, analytics, or consulting through complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.

Hands-on deal coaching and forecasting with MEDDPICC or a similar methodology.

Familiarity with HCP, provider, payer, or patient-level data and how customers use it.

Strong executive presence and the ability to turn complex data products into clear customer value.

Expectations of AI use in this role:

Uses AI tools (e.g. Claude, Gong, Clay) to research accounts, prep for executive meetings, and draft outreach, and coaches AVPs to do the same.

Uses AI to spot pipeline risk and patterns in deal data ahead of forecast calls.

Additional skills and experience we’ll prioritize (nice to have)…

Existing relationships with payer, provider, or life sciences decision-makers.

Experience with channel or partner-influenced sales motions.

Built AI-enabled sales workflows or used agentic tools for prospecting or coaching.
