POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Specialist leads the design, development, administration, and optimization of learning solutions and learning technology for AtriCure’s Professional Education programs. This role develops effective learning experiences for employees and physicians, manages LMS content and functionality, supports reporting and approvals, and collaborates with cross-functional partners to align training with business, compliance, and learner needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Design and develop learning solutions, including eLearning, webinars, assessments, job aids, print materials, and multimedia content

Apply instructional design, adult learning, and assessment principles to create effective, measurable learning experiences

Configure, maintain, and optimize the LMS, including courses, certifications, enrollments, user access, reporting, and system functionality

Upload, test, update, and maintain training content and materials within designated platforms

Partner with subject matter experts, stakeholders, IT, Quality, vendors, and cross-functional teams to define objectives and align learning programs with organizational needs

Ensure training and certification materials are accurate, current, approved, and aligned with product, procedural, software, sales, and marketing updates

Manage content delivery, CMR approvals, expirations, and timely publication through approved systems and processes

Analyze LMS data, reports, learner performance, system usage, and stakeholder feedback to recommend improvements

Serve as the primary contact for LMS inquiries, troubleshooting, guidance, documentation, and user training

Support LMS updates, enhancements, integrations, vendor coordination, and adoption of learning technology best practices

Assist with project intake, vendor-supported content development, and provide guidance on learning strategies, tools, and technologies

Ability to travel up to 20%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, information systems, or related field

5+ years of experience in instructional design, adult learning, learning technology, or related learning and development roles

2+ years of LMS administration experience, including reporting, enrollments, course management, certifications, and user access controls

Experience with LMS platforms such as Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, or similar systems

Proven ability to develop multi-modal learning solutions, including eLearning, mobile, print, web, assessments, and multimedia content

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and content development tools such as Adobe Captivate, InDesign, or similar applications

Strong organization, communication, customer service, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage complex projects, influence stakeholders, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System or Cornerstone OnDemand

Experience working in the cardiovascular medical device industry, healthcare, or other regulated environment

Experience with instructional design standards, eLearning standards, learning analytics, and emerging learning technologies

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed

Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
