About the Team

You'll join the team behind LINQ's platform for administering USDA Child Nutrition Programs, supporting claims, compliance, and reporting for state agencies. This platform is being modernized off of ASP.NET WebForms and onto a new Angular and .NET stack running on AWS, and you'll play a direct role in that migration.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at LINQ, you will work closely with a cross-functional scrum team to deliver business-critical applications, while also driving collaboration across teams on shared deliverables. You will own functionality from early design through production, designing solutions and providing guidance on risk and technical tradeoffs. You are capable of quickly learning new business domains, mentoring less-experienced engineers, and are passionate about delivering high quality, maintainable software to the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and architects to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.

Review requirements and seek clarification on ambiguities, keeping customer impact and business goals in focus.

Partner with product owners and fellow engineers on system design, including considerations like data retention, performance, and security.

Design and describe architectural patterns within the codebase, completing projects on time while meeting sprint goals and commitments.

Mentor less-experienced engineers, providing guidance on engineering best practices and professional growth.

Own and drive resolution of production issues, providing clear reproduction steps and using logs and other diagnostics to investigate.

Proactively identify and help implement improvements to team engineering practices and tools.

Learn from mistakes and work to minimize the risk of recurrence.

Engage in open, honest exchanges of differing ideas through productive conflict, and stay curious about new technologies and professional skills.
