Role Overview
As a Senior Product Designer I, you play a pivotal role in shaping product experiences that are intuitive, innovative, and useful for our Pros. You bring strong product design expertise, exceptional aesthetic sensibilities, and a collaborative approach to solving complex customer and business problems.
You work closely with product management, design, engineering, and cross-functional partners to shape product direction, influence strategy, and create unified experiences across the product ecosystem. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on design execution, using customer insights, strong design judgment, and measurable outcomes to guide your decisions. Your work raises the bar for product quality, strengthens the overall design experience, and helps define the next generation of experiences for our Pros.

What you do each day:
Design simple and beautiful product experiences that make a measurable difference in the daily lives of our Pros
Advocate for customer needs while balancing product strategy, business goals, technical considerations, and measurable outcomes
Facilitate and participate in user research and usability testing, synthesizing insights to continually improve experiences and elevate the quality of the product
Shape and expand the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches, wireframes, visual design, and prototypes
Influence product direction through strong design judgment, customer insights, and close partnership with product management, engineering, design, and other cross-functional stakeholders
Present and communicate concepts, design rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to team members and stakeholders
Strengthen design principles, systems, and repeatable patterns that improve consistency, accessibility, quality, and scalability across the product
Inspire new ideas and experiences by exploring emerging interaction patterns, technologies, and next-generation interfaces
Create guidelines and documentation that connect design intent with the teams building our products and support the delivery of thoughtful, easy-to-use experiences
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field
Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing complex digital products and end-to-end experiences across platforms
Proven expertise with modern design platforms (i.e. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and fluency with AI-native tools (i.e. Figma AI, Claude, ChatGPT)
Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience working with and evolving design systems at scale
Deep expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, accessibility, interactivity, motion, and established product design patterns
Experience collaborating effectively within fast-moving, cross-functional product teams
Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through the strategic use of AI tools and automation

Location Dependent Information
This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $128,000 - $145,000 + equity. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
