Role Description and Mission:
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer plays a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of our machine learning initiatives. This position is pivotal in developing and deploying cutting-edge algorithms and models to enhance our operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction metrics.
Key Outcomes:
Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches.
Skills, Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in software application development and design experience.
3-5 years experience working with Machine Learning systems.
3-5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery.
Experience with tree based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have.
Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with other teams.
Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business.

The base salary range presented represents the anticipated low and high end salary range for new hires in this position. Your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as work location, experience, job related skills, and relevant training and education. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package provided by Agero to employees.
