*Senior Backend Engineer - Collection Engineering
As a Senior Back-end engineer you will be building SentinelOne’s next-generation cloud-based security platform and are looking for a strong backend software engineer. You’ll enjoy building systems from the ground up, working hands-on in complex, large-scale environments, and taking ownership to drive solutions forward.
What will you do?
The Collection team leads projects that directly impact the company's bottom line, focusing on areas such as remote operations, EDR, and XDR. Our initiatives start from concepts and evolve into products deployed across millions of endpoints and servers
This multidisciplinary team comprises experts in backend, frontend, and endpoint technologies (Windows, Linux, Mac), enabling us to independently ideate, develop, and deliver solutions at scale.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will implement innovative projects from inception to implementation, shaping the architecture, design, and development of new modules within our comprehensive security platform. Operating across multiple strategic product lines, you’ll have a direct and visible impact on the success of key company initiatives.
What skills & knowledge should you bring?
You're a backend engineer who's happiest building things from the ground up and watching them run at scale. Here's what we imagine you bring:
5+ years designing and building backend systems in a high-level programming language (Python, Go, Java or similar).
A track record with high-performance, microservices-based architectures — and the cloud-native solutions and data pipelines that feed them.
Fluency across the modern backend stack: SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker and Kubernetes, and a major cloud platform like AWS or GCP.
The instinct to turn product requirements into solid technical design, backed by the discipline to cover your code with unit and component tests.
Strong communication and the confidence to lead projects and collaborate across hybrid and remote teams.
Bonus points if you also bring:
Hands-on experience with the Kafka ecosystem (pub/sub, Kafka Connect, and the rest).
A feel for large-scale management systems and squeezing out performance.
Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform / Terragrunt.
Another language in your back pocket — Rust, C++, Java, C#, or similar

Study Funds- SentinelOne contributes 7.5% over your base salary (no tax ceiling is applied), and employees contribute 2.5% of their base salary
