Senior Analyst, Ecosystem Risk
About the role
The Senior Analyst, Ecosystem Risk role at Chime plays a critical role in identifying, monitoring, and analyzing risks across Chime’s external ecosystem, including bank partners, vendors, internal platforms, and third-party dependencies. This role supports Chime’s Risk Mission control to protect members by delivering timely insights, data-driven analysis, and operational execution that strengthen ecosystem resilience.
You’ll work closely with Risk, Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Bank Partnerships to identify emerging risks, support incident response, and ensure that ecosystem growth is balanced with robust risk controls.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $94,000.00 and up to $130,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
Monitor & analyze ecosystem risk
Track, analyze, and report on ecosystem risk indicators, trends, and incidents
Investigate emerging risks related to fraud, scams, third-party dependencies, and partner activity
Support dark web monitoring and scam intelligence efforts by gathering, validating, and summarizing findings
Support incident response & risk operations
Assist with incident monitoring, triage, documentation, and post-incident analysis
Partner with senior risk leads during incidents by providing data, timelines, and impact assessments
Provide final approvals and oversight for DecPlat rules, ensuring alignment with technical soundness and organizational policy.
Maintain accurate incident logs, dashboards, and supporting artifacts
Deliver actionable insights
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and BI tools to surface risk signals
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer ecosystem risk questions from cross-functional partners
Translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally
Partner with Product, Engineering, Bank Partnerships, and Legal to support ecosystem risk assessments
Provide analytical support for new partnerships, ecosystem changes, and ongoing monitoring
Contribute to risk reviews and documentation used by leadership and risk committees
To thrive in this role, you have
3–5+ years of experience in risk, fraud, trust & safety, or analytics within fintech, banking, or payments
Experience working with ecosystem, third-party, or partner-related risk preferred
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies
2+ years of working/intermediate proficiency in SQL
Experience using BI and monitoring tools such as Looker, Datadog, Hex, or similar
Familiarity with fraud, scams, or incident management concepts
Detail-oriented and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in ambiguity and evolving environments
Clear communicator who can explain findings succinctly
Member-first mindset with a passion for protecting customers and preventing fraud
