Senior Accountant

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a portion of the accounting activities for Pacific Fusion. You will work to build and optimize processes and enable the engineers and scientists across the organization as they bring our demonstration system online.

What You'll Do

Work with a team of accountants to complete the monthly close process including producing monthly financial statements

Complete journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analysis for assigned accounts

Produce quarterly plan to actuals

Perform ad hoc analysis as requested to support various leadership initiatives

Complete technical accounting research and compile memos to document management positions as necessary

Drive efficiency across financial operations processes

Support annual audits

Support an initial ERP implementation

What You Bring

At least four years of public accounting experience

Experience owning the end to end month end close process for a hardware company

Experience creating new operational processes and ensuring continued improvement of those processes over time

Experience compiling financial details into cohesive and comprehensive workpapers for consumption by various levels of leadership

Bonus Points For

Experience in a public company SOX environment

Experience working in a startup

Experience implementing finance-touching software tools

Experience working in industries such as: fusion, energy, aerospace, automotive or manufacturing

Experience working closely with PhD scientists and R&D technology organizations

Experience with accounting for government contracts

Pay Range:

$115,000—$125,000 USD
