Facilities Technician
Why This Role Matters
As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and operations teams by running facilities drops for equipment and test stands. You will also spend approximately 25% of your time supporting the electro-mechanical technicians in building and operating test stands. Your technical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach are fundamental to our success.
What You'll Do
Install air/power/network drops as needed throughout the facility
Troubleshoot building equipment and conduct repairs as needed
Support workplace experience team as needed for new furniture/decorations/etc
Manage critical spares for equipment
Manage preventative maintenance for equipment
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
Interface with suppliers as needed for building maintenance
Build and support testing needs for small scale experiments
Support mechanical builds ranging from small tabletop assemblies to large steel weldments
Support electrical builds ranging from basic sensor installation to full control panel builds
Maintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and workspaces are clean, safe, and organized
Play a key role in setting up the manufacturing site by installing equipment, facilities, and storage
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (including electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers) to ensure systems integration and effectiveness
Comply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements, including ISO, state, and federal regulations, as well as those specific to the company
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician in a hands-on setting; lead or supervisory experience preferred
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
Working experience with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
Working experience with machining and fabrication
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
Extensive experience operating a forklift and using hand and power tools
Startup experience with fast changing priorities and work scope
Bonus Points For
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience setting up a new manufacturing facility, ideally in a startup environment
Experience owning and mastering machine shop tools (lathe, mill, CNC, drill press, etc.)
Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Pay Range:
$46.30—$69.42 USD
