Overview of Role

We are seeking a Security Architect to support our client on an immediate-need basis. This position is approximately of 48-week contract engagement with up to 20 hours per week. In this role, you will design, implement, and govern robust security architectures tailored to highly regulated environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to align identity management, system telemetry, and compliance frameworks with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security architecture strategies for enterprise environments, focusing on cloud infrastructure and compliance.

Lead identity and access management (IAM) strategies, telemetry monitoring, and SIEM integrations to ensure end-to-end security visibility.

Ensure infrastructure and security controls strictly align with regulatory standards, specifically FedRAMP and CMMC.

Partner with cross-functional engineering and systems teams to embed security best practices into core operational infrastructure.

Review system architecture to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and maintain robust posture across cloud environments.

Qualifications:

Professional experience as a Security Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Architect.

Internal quality assurance and independent internal review

Runs the 800-171A examine, interview and test validation across all 320 objectives

Reviews the traceability matrix and packages the TOE evidence binder and hash manifests

CISA; CRISC; CMMC RP; eMASS artifact structuring and C3PAO audit mechanics

Demonstrated hands-on technical proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, FedRAMP, CMMC, and AWS GovCloud.

Proven expertise with Identity and Access Management (IAM), security telemetry, and SIEM tools/integrations.

Strong ability to evaluate, architect, and optimize security structures within strict compliance frameworks.
