Regional Manager EMEA, Data Center Capacity Delivery
About the roleTraining and serving frontier AI models requires data center capacity at a scale and pace that conventional delivery models were not built for. Anthropic's Data Center Capacity Delivery team embeds with developers, general contractors, and third-party partners to take leased and partnered sites from deal close through floor access and operational handover as fast as they can safely be built.
As a Regional Manager, you'll own delivery across a regional portfolio of active and upcoming projects. You'll build and lead the team of Senior Delivery Managers and third-party partners who sit on those sites, set the standards they execute to, and step in yourself where a project needs it. You are the executive-level interface to our developer partners in the region and the intake point for projects handed over from our transaction team.
This is a highly cross-functional role: you'll work daily with our transaction, design engineering, facility operations and commissioning, deployment, and safety teams, and with developers, GCs, and owner's-representative firms on the ground.
MOC (Mission + Outcomes + Competencies)MissionDeliver the region’s data center projects to floor access as fast as they can safely be built.
OutcomesEvery active project in the region delivered against early-floor-access and floor-access milestones.
Senior Delivery Manager team hired and led; owner’s-rep partners contracted and managed.
Delivery standards (schedule, quality, change control, reporting) enforced across the portfolio.
Executive reporting on progress vs plan and regional capacity projections in place.
CompetenciesSenior owner- or GC-side mission-critical delivery leadership.
Builds and leads multi-project teams.
Executive-level developer and GC relationship management.
Leads on site through presence; owns outcomes where no process exists.
ResponsibilitiesLead. This is a role where leadership trumps management and process. You are expected to be on the region's sites enough to shape the culture, approach, and aggressiveness that define the extended teams there — across the portfolio, not one project — and to impact outcomes in a favorable manner.
Be a force multiplier. Hire, develop, empower, and lead the Senior Delivery Managers on those sites, and raise the skillset developers, contractors, owner's-rep partners, and key trades bring to every project in the region; plan resourcing and headcount as the portfolio grows.
Own portfolio execution for the region — schedule, quality, and safety outcomes on every active project, measured against early-floor-access and floor-access milestones. You are empowered and have autonomy to own this regions record of performance.
Drive ownership and influence both inside and outside contractual structures: select, scope, contract, and manage owner's-rep and project-management partners; where contracts, incentives, or culture get in the way of speed, change them, and replace partners when performance or culture slips
Set and enforce delivery standards across projects — integrated schedule, quality requirements, change control, reporting, and tools — and validate that they are met
Identify blockers early and clear them across developer, GC, and trade layers; step in on site where a project needs it
You may be a good fit if youHave [10+] years delivering data center or other mission-critical construction, including several as the owner's or GC's senior leader on a project campus
Have led a multi-project portfolio and built the team that delivered it
Know the end-to-end development process — entitlements and permitting, design, long-lead equipment, construction, commissioning, and handover — well enough to direct partners rather than take their word for it
Have managed developer, GC, and third-party relationships at the executive level and can move them from arm's-length contract administration to shared urgency
Lead through presence: you expect to be on site most of the time and to set the pace and culture of extended teams you don't directly employ
Communicate clearly with technical and non-specialist stakeholders and hold a position when challenged
Are comfortable with ambiguity and with owning outcomes where no process exists yet
Strong candidates may also haveHyperscale data center delivery experience on the owner, developer, or GC side
Experience with the UK and continental European market — its contractors, permitting regimes, and contractual norms
Familiarity with lease, construction, and development contract structures and how to align their incentives around speed
