The Team

Mindbody has a complex suite of products and features that customers rely on to run and grow their businesses. As the platform has grown in size and complexity, so has the opportunity to more consistently embed data into how we build and prioritize. Product Analytics exists to unlock that opportunity.

We are a dedicated analytics function embedded within the Product organization, focused on surfacing timely, actionable insights that help our teams build better products and drive real business outcomes. We partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to understand how customers interact with our platform, identify friction and opportunity, and measure the impact of what we ship. We are a distinct team from Business Intelligence, though we partner closely with BI, who own centralized reporting infrastructure, while we focus on fast-paced, exploratory analysis tied directly to product decisions.

The Role and Responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our growing Product Analytics team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role focused on Mindbody software. You'll act as a strategic analytics partner to product managers, designers, and leadership, owning the analysis and insight that shapes our roadmap. You'll be expected to both shape the work and do the work.

A major early focus will be building reliable workflow telemetry — mapping the core jobs customers come to Mindbody to do and making sure we can measure how well they complete them. It's one part of a broader set of responsibilities that shape this role:

Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as an embedded analytics partner to product squads, collaborating on roadmap prioritization, scoping analytical approaches, and communicating findings in clear, actionable ways.

Product & Funnel Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses into user behavior, adoption, engagement, and retention across Mindbody's product surface. Identify trends, friction points, and opportunities that inform product prioritization.

Strategic Analysis: Partner with product leadership on structured, insight-driven analyses for high-priority questions, synthesizing data into clear business recommendations.

Workflow Telemetry & Data Instrumentation: Own the reliability of our product event tracking end to end. Map the core jobs-to-be-done in the Mindbody product, define what needs to be measured to know whether customers complete them, and partner with Engineering and BI to get accurate, scalable event data in place. Turn that foundation into analysis and insight on where customers succeed, stall, or drop off.

AI-Enabled Analysis: Build and leverage AI tools, skills, and agents to accelerate analysis — automating repetitive data work, speeding up exploration, and reaching reliable insight faster. Help raise the bar for how the whole team applies AI to data problems.

Metrics & Dashboards: Define and maintain the north star metrics and KPIs for each product squad, aligned to broader business goals. Partner with BI on long-term, centralized dashboards, and build lightweight reporting views where needed to support fast-moving product work.

Experimentation: Help build our experimentation practice — designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests where they add value, and strengthening the team's testing culture over time.

Data Advocacy: Promote data literacy across the Product org and help PMs and designers develop habits of evidence-based decision-making.

Who You Are

An Experienced Analyst: 2 to 5 years in product analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related analytical role at a B2B or SaaS technology company. Experience partnering closely with Product teams is a strong plus.

Technically Strong: Advanced SQL skills required; experience with dbt or cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) preferred. Hands-on experience with product analytics tools such as Pendo, Mixpanel, or Heap. Proficiency with BI and visualization tools like Looker, Sigma, or Tableau. Familiarity with Python or R a plus.

A Clear Communicator: You translate complex data into crisp, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. You're comfortable presenting to senior leadership and writing recommendations that drive decisions.

AI-Forward: You actively build and use AI tools, skills, and agents to accelerate your work — not occasionally, but as a core part of how you operate. You've applied AI to real data and analysis problems and can point to where it made you faster or sharper.

A Strong Collaborator: You build relationships across functions and are at your best when working in close partnership with PMs, designers, engineers, and data peers.

Adaptable and Self-Directed: You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You manage competing priorities with good judgment and an ownership mentality.

Comfortable with Experimentation: You understand the fundamentals of A/B testing and experiment design, and are excited to help grow our experimentation practice as the team matures.
