About the Role
As our Production Engineer / Resident Engineer, you will be embedded at a major systems integration partner in Tainan, acting as Infinitesima's technical and operational representative.
You will be responsible for ensuring production activities meet quality, cost and delivery expectations while building strong relationships across manufacturing, engineering and supply chain teams.
This role combines manufacturing engineering, production oversight, supplier management and problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the factory floor and seeing the direct impact of their work.
What You'll Be Doing
Represent Infinitesima on-site at our manufacturing partner facility
Monitor production builds and ensure products are assembled to specification
Drive quality, delivery and manufacturing performance
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Investigate production issues and lead root cause analysis activities
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain teams to remove obstacles
Review manufacturing KPIs and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders
Conduct quality audits and support compliance activities
Identify risks early and coordinate effective solutions
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering environment
Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers or systems integrators
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to influence and drive outcomes without direct authority
Understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems and technical documentation
Experience analysing production data, identifying trends and driving improvements
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
Highly Desirable
Semiconductor manufacturing experience
Precision engineering, electronics or complex capital equipment experience
Experience as a Resident Engineer or Customer Site Engineer
Knowledge of quality management systems
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies
Knowledge of NPI, configuration control and engineering change management
Understanding of IP protection and supplier governance
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Equivalent industrial experience will also be considered
