About the role

Grüns is scaling across retail fast, and every new retailer brings its own specs, formats, and quirks. We need a production expert who protects our brand on every shelf and every printer. You'll take our approved designs and turn them into clean, print-ready files, catching problems before they ever hit a press. This is a technical, detail-obsessed role for someone who loves living between design and execution.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:

Own technical production for retail and packaging: dielines, print-ready files, and vendor specs

Adapt approved retail concepts across formats, retailers, and sizes, and catch layout issues before they go to print

Build and maintain a production system (templates, specs, file organization) that keeps retail assets moving fast and accurate as we add new retailers

Become our go to person with print vendors about materials, tolerances, and print methods, and become their go-to person

Be the go-to resource for cross-functional partners on print production, resolving technical questions and driving projects forward

Provide backup production support for retail and DTC packaging

Build quality checks that catch problems before they reach shelves

We're looking for someone who:

Has 3+ years as a production artist in packaging, print, retail, visual merchandising, or something similar

Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Figma and 3D rendering tools (like sketchup) are a plus.

Has managed high-volume production across multiple SKUs, formats, retailers, and versions without missing a detail

Communicates clearly with designers, vendors, printers, and internal teams

Has a good eye for spacing, typography, and hierarchy, with room to grow. Bonus points if you've worked with print vendors or know flexo, digital, offset, or litho printing

Exceptional proofreading skills and an eagle-eye focus on picking up minor alignment, copy, or structural discrepancies

An understanding of color management techniques to maintain color consistency during print production.

Approach to the role:

You ask good questions instead of guessing. "I don't know, let me find out" is just part of your process

When a vendor says no or a spec doesn't work, you find a workaround. You don't just escalate it

You move fast without losing precision, even on tight timelines

You own your systems: naming, file structure, tracking, whatever keeps you sharp under pressure

You treat production like a craft, not a checklist

Compensation & Benefits:

At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package — grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is $100,000-$115,000 plus bonus depending on experience, paired with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
