Product Marketing Manager
About the Role
As a Product Marketing Manager at Smartcat, you'll be a foundational member of a lean, high-leverage Product Marketing function at a pivotal moment: Smartcat is repositioning from a best-in-class localization and translation management platform to an enterprise agentic AI platform, and product marketing sits at the center of getting that story right, both internally and externally.
You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to develop a deep understanding of our customers, their use cases, and how Smartcat's AI agents and workflows drive outcomes for them. You'll translate customer insights into sharp messaging, compelling launches, and content that helps the whole company tell one consistent, evidence-based story. You will be evaluated as much on your fluency working with AI tools day-to-day as on the marketing craft itself; this is an AI-native company and an AI-native role.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with Smartcat's product teams to inform what we build, who we build it for, and how we position it, all grounded in evidence-based market, customer, competitive, and buyer research.
Own and evolve Smartcat's go-to-market narrative and messaging as the company shifts from a translation-first identity to an enterprise agentic AI platform, including our "market adaptation gap" and AI-native positioning frameworks.
Conduct market and competitive research (e.g., vs. Phrase, Lokalise, Smartling, Absorb, and other AI/localization players), gather sales and CS feedback, and talk directly to customers to build a deep understanding of our core buyer personas.
Create sales enablement materials, demos, battlecards, and objection-handling content; iterate continuously based on rep and customer conversations and feedback.
Develop repeatable processes to capture real customer use cases and success stories, then package and promote them (case studies, proof points, ROI narratives) to drive adoption and pipeline.
Own product launches end-to-end, leading cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, coordinating multi-channel rollout, and measuring outcomes to inform the next launch.
Work closely with Content Marketing, Demand Generation, and Customer Marketing to reach target audiences (life sciences, manufacturing, consumer goods, and other enterprise ICPs), generate pipeline, and drive product adoption.
Use AI tools natively in your own workflow, including research synthesis, content drafting, competitive tracking, launch planning, as the default way of working, not an add-on.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in product marketing, or in a closely adjacent role (marketing, sales, customer success, consulting, or product management) with meaningful product marketing exposure, ideally in B2B SaaS.
Demonstrated AI-native fluency: you already use AI tools (LLMs, AI research/writing/analysis tools) as a core part of how you work, and you're excited to operate inside a company that expects this of everyone, not just as a "nice to have" skill.
Genuine interest in, and ideally direct experience with, AI/agentic products; you can speak credibly about how AI is changing enterprise software and translate that into buyer-relevant messaging.
Ability to go deep on product and translate complexity into compelling, customer-centric messaging that resonates with enterprise buyers.
Proven track record partnering closely with product and go-to-market teams; highly cross-functional and comfortable driving alignment without formal authority.
Strong verbal, written, visual/presentation, and demo skills.
A blend of creative and analytical thinking, including an ability to synthesize research into clear, actionable recommendations quickly.
Excellent organizational skills and a strong bias to action; comfortable setting ambitious but realistic deadlines and managing multiple launches/projects at once in a fast-moving, still-forming function.
Comfort with ambiguity: you'll be helping build the product marketing function itself, not stepping into a fully mature playbook.
