AI Solutions Builder
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM
You'll join a small, high-impact team within the Office of the CEO, working directly with the executive and leadership teams to build the AI-powered tools and knowledge systems that shape how Smartcat operates and makes decisions. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy seat — you don't need to be a software engineer, but you'll need real curiosity, basic coding ability, and genuine "vibe coding" experience to move fast in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
MISSION
Build AI-powered tools and knowledge systems that improve how Smartcat operates and makes decisions — translating ambiguous business problems into scalable, AI-enabled solutions, and helping drive AI adoption and AI-first thinking across the organization.
OUTCOMES
Build and optimize AI-powered internal tools for sales pipeline analysis and customer intelligence, internal knowledge management, operational reporting and business insights, and executive decision support
Work with structured and unstructured data — including vector databases, MCP, and RAG — to power internal systems
Build and maintain AI agents that combine semantic and keyword search across internal knowledge bases, meeting transcripts, and CRM data
Manage infrastructure for AI services, with support from DevOps
Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable, AI-enabled solutions, driving projects end-to-end
HOW YOU'LL RAMP
By Day 30:
Get up to speed on Smartcat's internal systems, data sources (CRM, meeting transcripts, knowledge bases), and existing AI tooling
Meet with the executive and leadership team to understand current decision-support and reporting pain points
Get hands-on with the AI coding tools, infrastructure, and cloud environment (AWS/GCP) already in use
By Day 60:
Ship a first AI-powered internal tool or agent addressing a real business need (e.g., knowledge search, reporting, or pipeline analysis)
Be working independently with structured and unstructured data, including vector databases and RAG pipelines
Start managing AI service infrastructure with DevOps support
By Day 90:
Have multiple AI-powered tools or agents in active use by the executive/leadership team
Be independently translating ambiguous business problems into scoped, shippable AI solutions
Be actively helping drive AI adoption and AI-first thinking more broadly across the organization
WHAT YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED
A strong track record of curiosity-driven learning in AI, automation, and emerging technologies
Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Cline, or similar, including real "vibe coding" experience
Basic coding skills in Python, or a demonstrated ability to learn technical skills quickly
Comfort with the command line, basic Linux administration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
A proven ability to drive projects end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to turn business needs into practical AI tools
English and Russian proficiency
