Plumbing Designer III
Job Description:
Meade is seeking a Plumbing Designer III to play a key role in the design of plumbing systems for data centers, industrial buildings, and other large-scale construction projects. This position is a blend of design execution, project coordination, and production, ensuring plumbing systems are efficiently developed and integrated into broader mechanical designs.
The ideal candidate has strong Revit expertise, understands plumbing codes and best practices, and is capable of managing design deliverables while coordinating with clients, engineers, and project teams.
Job Duties:
Design and develop plumbing system layouts, including domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, and gas piping.
Utilize Revit to produce detailed plumbing construction documents, ensuring accuracy and coordination with other disciplines.
Manage design schedules, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track.
Select plumbing equipment and fixtures in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders while assisting with site visits, inspections, and project documentation.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to drafters and junior team members as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in plumbing design for commercial or industrial projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in Revit for plumbing system design and documentation.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, industry standards, and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for team collaboration and client interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
Familiarity with MEP coordination and integrated building systems.
Certification from ASPE or other relevant industry organizations.
Experience with sustainable plumbing design (LEED, water efficiency systems).

This position is available to candidates residing in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, OK, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV. Compensation and benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may vary based on location and applicable laws. The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
The estimate pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Virginia: $87,100-$111,700
Washington: $91,300-$117,100
