Electrical Engineer (PE) Data Center Load Management
Job Description:
Meade is seeking a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to support our growing Data Center Load Management (DCLM) needs. This role will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and sealing electrical plans, specifications, and load calculations supporting strategic electrical load modifications for existing data center environments.
The ideal candidate has experience with electrical system plan production, data center electrical design, electrical load calcluations, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of smaller projects. This position includes opportunities to innovate the DCLM workflow by leveraging a combination of CAD/BIM integration, AI technology, custom software, and advanced Excel worksheets and macros.
Experience with data center load management, Excel automation, programming, or other coding languages is preferred but not required. We are prepared to train the right engineer on our specific load management processes, tools, and technology.

Job Duties:
Develop, Review, and seal electrical engineering drawings, plans, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Become proficient in the company's existing DCLM processes, technology, and engineering standards.
Support data center electrical design and load management, including strategic load planning based on customer loads and site-specific requirements.
Manage a fast-paced workflow involving multiple projects with relatively short turnaround times.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering and load-planning processes by leveraging a combination of CAD/BIM integration, AI technology, custom software, and advanced Excel worksheets and macros.
Work with internal engineering, commissioning, project, and technology teams to implement site-specific load management solutions.
Help improve and standardize engineering processes as workload and data center programs continue to grow.
Provide technical expertise and professional engineering oversight where required.
Run customer-facing meetings to discuss projects and technical requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to seal applicable electrical engineer documents.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical distribution systems, and design documentation.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas, calculations, datasets, and engineering models.
Familiarity with data center design and/or mission-critical electrical environments.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality and accuracy.
Demonstrated interest in technology, process improvement, and engineering innovation.
Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range objectives.
Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam; BIM and Revit a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data center load management, load planning, capacity planning, or similar electrical load-management processes.
Experience implementing load planning based on customer-specific and site-specific electrical requirements.
Experience with Excel VBA, macros, Power Query, Office Scripts, or other Excel automation capabilities.
Familiarity with any programming or scripting language. Specific programming languages are not required, and training can be provided.
Experience using automation, AI, or other emerging technologies to improve engineering workflows.
Previous experience sealing electrical plans and specifications in a high-volume project environment.
Experience working in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similarly complex electrical environments.

The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.

The estimate pay range for this role is as follows:
$117,100—$145,500 USD
