The Role

Venture-backed companies have always thrived on Braze, and they have always sought to push the boundaries of customer engagement to better serve their most important asset: their customers. Across every growth stage, VCs play an instrumental role in supporting their portfolio companies and have a vested interest in their success.

Braze has made considerable progress establishing ourselves as a trusted advisor within leading venture firms to support them better, and we’re now at a stage to accelerate these relationships even further.

As Senior Partner Sales Manager, VC, you own the operating relationship with a named set of Tier 1 and Tier 2 venture firms. Your job is to expand Braze's relationships and credibility within each firm well beyond the platform owner, so that when a portfolio company is evaluating customer engagement platforms, Braze is the default recommendation.

What You'll Own

Firm operating cadence. Run a recurring cadence with each assigned firm with clear agendas, pre-work, and follow-through.

Firm-wide relationship depth. Build relationships beyond the typical platform owner, into a firm's investment, talent, and community teams, so Braze is embedded across the business rather than single-threaded through one contact.

Define and deliver joint initiatives with your partner firms that support the growth of their portfolio companies and Braze’s customer footprint.

Portfolio enablement. Run portfolio-facing enablement: workshops, office hours, founder sessions, event participation to ensure portfolio companies hear from Braze directly.

Work closely with the Braze sales team on founder and portfolio-company introductions, converting relationship depth into qualified pipeline and new business wins.

Reporting and forecasting. Own pipeline management and portfolio tracking to ensure Leadership visibility.

Offer and program feedback. Gather feedback from firms and portfolio companies on program and offer design on an ongoing basis, and feed it back to shape how the offer evolves.

What This Role Is Really About

The job is to become embedded enough in each firm, beyond the platform owner, that Braze gets surfaced by default whenever a portfolio company is choosing a customer engagement platform. That only comes from operating cadence and relationship depth held consistently over quarters.

How We Show Up

Owns relationship depth, not just the relationship. You know each firm's platform team, investment team and portfolio well enough to spot where Braze adds value before anyone asks you to.

Drives outcomes through firms without controlling them. You don't own a firm's investment decisions or a portfolio company's buying decision, but you influence both, consistently, through credibility rather than authority.

Builds relationships that outlast a single check-in. GPs, platform leads and founders trust you because you've shown up for them before, not because you need an intro this quarter.

Communicates with precision to very different audiences. You can confidently talk about thesis and portfolio strategy with a GP and customer engagement architecture with a portfolio company's technical lead.

Who You Are

7-10 years of experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Partnerships, Sales, Business Development or Ecosystem roles, with direct, hands-on experience partnering with VC firms.

Comfortable being the single point of contact for a named portfolio of firms, and confident enough with Braze's platform and composable architecture to speak credibly to a firm's platform or portfolio-ops team, not only its GPs.

A track record of building operating cadence and joint programming with external partners.

Highly organised and execution-focused, able to manage multiple firm relationships and initiatives at once without a large team around you.

Naturally curious, high EQ, and comfortable operating at every level within an organisation, from GP to portfolio-company founder.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Customer Engagement, Growth and Retention strategies.

Experience building or expanding a partner program.
