An Organizational Development Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth (Human Resources / Organizational Development).

The Organizational Development Division supports the City of Fort Worth through leadership development, employee training, onboarding, and workforce development programs. The division partners with departments to address development needs, strengthen talent, and support the City’s mission and core values.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in leadership development or organizational development, supporting leaders at all levels including executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of management experience

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and project coordination

Strategic thinker with experience in talent development and succession planning

Comfortable with data analysis, reporting, and using digital learning tools

Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) is a plus

Strong facilitation and public speaking skills

Experience with curriculum design and content creation

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

The Organizational Development Specialist job responsibilities include:

Design and deliver tailored leadership development programs for senior leaders

Create initiatives that build engagement and knowledge-sharing between executives and employees

Curate citywide events connecting senior leadership with high-performing staff

Assess department training needs and create aligned development strategies

Lead engaging, high-quality new hire orientation experiences

Develop interactive communications to promote learning and growth opportunities

Support training logistics, event planning, and stakeholder coordination
